Without a shot being fired, the Biden administration has taken a play right out of Joseph Stalin’s playbook, threatening private companies with harsh penalties if they don’t comply with his edict.
On Thursday, the White House announced a series of directives concerning Biden’s nationwide vaccine mandate, targeting millions of private firms around the country who employ a minimum of 100 employees or more. The mandate, which will affect approximately 85 to 90 million workers, will force them to either take the vaccine, wear a face mask, or take a weekly COVID test. Those who do not comply will be subject to severe monetary fines.
The official decree by the White House stated; “Today, the Biden Administration is announcing the details of two policies to fight COVID-19 that will drive even more progress and result in millions of Americans getting vaccinated, protecting workers, preventing hospitalization, saving lives, and strengthening the economy,” the White House said. “First, the Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is announcing the details of a requirement for employers with 100 or more employees to ensure each of their workers is fully vaccinated or tests for COVID-19 on at least a weekly basis.”
Adding; “The OSHA rule will also require that these employers provide paid time for employees to get vaccinated, and ensure all unvaccinated workers wear a face mask in the workplace,” added the fact sheet.
The decree continued; “Employees falling under the ETS, CMS, or federal contractor rules will need to have their final vaccination dose, either their second dose of Pfizer or Moderna, or single dose of Johnson & Johnson, by January 4, 2022,” the White House warned.
Biden’s draconian edict for those firms refusing to comply might not be as severe as a Soviet firing squad under communist leader Stalin. However, a hefty fine in the neighborhood of about $14,000 can also have a chilling effect on a small business. This comes at a time when they are attempting to rebound from the heavy-handed lockdowns by government bureaucrats who have never worried about making a payroll.
A senior White House official during a news briefing on Wednesday confirmed to reporters that employers found to be in violation of Biden’s mandate would indeed face stiff penalties.
Last year, Biden promised that he wouldn’t push a vaccine mandate. Now, he’s either forgotten what he said or gone back on his word. Biden’s unconstitutional vaccine mandates are a gross overreach of government & I won’t stop fighting against to protect American workers. pic.twitter.com/5JBhZETsMT

“So $14,000 per item that would be cited, so if there were multiple items out of the standard that we cited, there would be, you know, multiple penalties that could be issued along with that.”
The White House staffer continued; “We also would assess whether or not there were multiple violations depending on the number of instances of the violation that we were looking at. So, you know, potentially there could be multiples of that. But it would depend upon the situation during the inspection and the evidence that was presented.”
The administration’s overreach was immediately challenged by Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt, who quickly put out an official statement concerning Biden’s unconstitutional mandate.

“We will be on file first thing tomorrow morning to halt this illegal, unconstitutional attempt by the Biden Administration and the federal government to impose their will on thousands of Missouri businesses and millions of Missourians. Missouri will not roll over, we will not back down – we will file suit imminently,” Schmitt said in a statement on Thursday.
Adding; “The federal government does not have the authority to unilaterally force private employers to mandate their employees get vaccinated or foot the bill for weekly testing. I’ve been in discussions with businesses in Missouri, including a trailer manufacturing company in mid-Missouri, who say that this vaccine mandate will crush their business.”
While Missouri may be the first state in the union to challenge Biden’s draconian decree, there will undoubtedly be many more.
