LOL: Matt Walsh’s Satirical Kids Book Hits #1 on Amazon’s LGBT List

When you think of “LGBT authors,” you probably don’t think of Matt Walsh, one of the Daily Wire’s most conservative commentators.

But, according to Amazon’s rankings, that’s exactly what he is. Well, the #1 LGBT author, to be specific.

What happened? Was there a glitch in the Matrix? Nope. He recently released his children’s book, Johnny the Walrus, which is a satirical debate on the transgenderism epidemic sweeping America’s youth. It was so popular that it sold out in mere hours.

Since Amazon is the site doing the rankings, here’s the book’s Amazon description:

When his book shot to #1 on Amazon’s “LGBT” category, Walsh was quick to tweet out his new, woke credentials:

Walsh didn’t end it there. He went on to joke about the comedy of the situation, pointing out just how funny it is that he, a very conservative political commentator, is #1 in the LGBT category:

And, as the Daily Wire reports, “Walsh, a fierce cultural critic on the Right, has also taken the liberty in changing his Twitter handle to better, uh, reflect his services to “Bestselling LGBT Author Matt Walsh.”’

Not everyone was as enthused with the news as Walsh. Numerous critics on Amazon and the media savaged it for not being woke, with one even calling for it to be removed:

Walsh, however, wasn’t put off by the criticism, nor did he stop highlighting the utter ridiculousness of it all. Instead, he posted this hilarious tweet to cap off the triumph and make fun of the haters:
