There were a lot of rumors in 2020 that Kim Jong-un had died. Obviously, those turned out to be false. The violent North Korean dictator is very much alive but doesn’t appear to look his usual chubby-self, as we ring in 2022.
Kim gave a speech on New Year’s Day to his fellow communists and his appearance is what stood out the most.
Maybe he’s sick? Maybe he joined Weight Watchers? Who knows?
One thing that hasn’t changed is that American liberals would prefer to live under the tyrannical reign of Kim than the freedom afforded them in the United States.
From The Western Journal:
North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un appears to have slimmed down considerably amid ongoing rumors that he is struggling with health problems the state refuses to acknowledge publicly.
Kim, who came to power just over 10 years ago when he was in his 20s, used to go about with an appearance more consistent with one who has fattened himself all his life on the suffering of the brutally repressed North Korean people. But this week, as he addressed a year-end meeting of the nation’s ruling party, he cut a noticeably trimmer figure.
Kim was attending the plenary meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea in late December, which coincided with the 10th anniversary of his succeeding his father, Kim Jong Il.

Remember back during the 2018 Winter Olympics when Jong-un’s sister gave Vice President Mike Pence the side eye and liberals were all about it?
Currently the hermit kingdom’s director of the propaganda department, Kim Yo Jong could potentially become the next leader of North Korea.
If not her, it could possibly be Kim’s brother, Kim Jong Chol.
New York Post has the details…
Power has traditionally passed through male heirs, but the 36-year-old despot has no male adult children — leaving Kim’s brother and sister as the most obvious choices to replace him as ruler, according to various reports.
[…]
But North Korean politics is patriarchal and it’s unlikely a woman will be made leader, however powerful she is. Kim’s wife, a former cheerleader and singer, also exercises no political power, the report said.
This leaves Kim’s older brother, Kim Jong Chol, who was already passed over by their father when he was considering a successor.

Imagine being told by the federal government that you had to surrender the family dog because your dictator demanded it. What would you do?
Well, if you live in North Korea, anything except handing the pooch over would likely mean death for not just you, but your entire immediate family (and quite possibly relatives, as well).
From New York Post:
North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un has ordered pet dogs to be confiscated in the country’s capital, saying the pooches represent Western “decadence’’ — but their owners fear Fido is really headed for someone’s dinner table.
Kim issued the directive in July to round up the pets, claiming they were part of “a ‘tainted’ trend by bourgeouis ideology,’’ a source told the English edition of Chosun Ilbo, a South Korean newspaper.
