Biden, however, apparently has no compunctions about the catch and release policy. In fact, it’s quite the opposite; Brandon has freed a record number of illegals into the US with his catch and release policies.
That’s according to Breitbart, which reported that:
As of late December 2021, Biden has placed about 150,755 border crossers into the government’s Alternatives to Detention (ATD) program, wherein border crossers are apprehended and quickly released into the U.S. interior with minimal tracking.
[…]An official with the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) at Syracuse University, which compiles the data, told Border Report that this is the highest number of border crossers placed into the ATD program since its inception in 2004.
[…]Border crossers and illegal aliens placed into ATD are not the total number of border crossers and illegal aliens released into the U.S. interior by the Biden administration. While nearly two million border crossers arrived at the southern border last year, Biden has released more than 530,000 into the U.S. interior, according to the latest estimates.
Plus, not only are people who shouldn’t be here anyway freed into the nation because of Brandon’s policy, but many of them go on to commit crimes.
As the Heritage Foundation reported in 2019:
Non-citizens accounted for 24 percent of all federal drug arrests, 25 percent of all federal property arrests, and 28 percent of all federal fraud arrests.
[…]Non-citizens constitute only about 7 percent of the U.S. population. Yet the latest data from the Justice Department’s Bureau of Justice Statistics reveals that non-citizens accounted for nearly two-thirds (64 percent) of all federal arrests in 2018.
