It’s not just that Americans are shifting against Brandon now that his incompetence has been put on full display, though his rock-bottom 33% approval rating is evidence that that’s certainly happening.
No, the other major shift in public opinion that’s happening right now is that Americans are swinging away from Brandon’s party and toward the GOP in massive numbers.
News on that comes from a recent Gallup poll. That ground-shaking poll, on that should make Brandon and his two brain cells very, very scared, found that:
On average, Americans’ political party preferences in 2021 looked similar to prior years, with slightly more U.S. adults identifying as Democrats or leaning Democratic (46%) than identified as Republicans or leaned Republican (43%).
However, the general stability for the full-year average obscures a dramatic shift over the course of 2021, from a nine-percentage-point Democratic advantage in the first quarter to a rare five-point Republican edge in the fourth quarter.
That’s right; the poll found that, over the course of 2021, American public opinion swung a massive 14 points in favor of the GOP.
And make no mistake, that’s not a result pressed for by some right-wing fake polling outlet. Gallup is a well-regarded, generally neutral polling shop that polled 12,000 Americans to find this result.
In any case, the results get yet better for the GOP; the lead it has now, according to Gallup, is “among the largest” advantage that Gallup has ever found. In fact, it’s only the fourth time the GOP has ever held a lead this large:
Both the nine-point Democratic advantage in the first quarter and the five-point Republican edge in the fourth quarter are among the largest Gallup has measured for each party in any quarter since it began regularly measuring party identification and leaning in 1991.
[…]The GOP has held as much as a five-point advantage in a total of only four quarters since 1991. The Republicans last held a five-point advantage in party identification and leaning in early 1995, after winning control of the House of Representatives for the first time since the 1950s. Republicans had a larger advantage only in the first quarter of 1991, after the U.S. victory in the Persian Gulf War led by then-President George H.W. Bush.
Keep in mind that that’s just after one year of Brandon. We still have three more to suffer through, which, though they’ll be terrible, will likely push public opinion even farther away from the Democrats and deeper into the welcoming arms of the non-Brandon GOP.
It should come as no real surprise that Americans are flocking toward the GOP about as quickly as they’re ditching ship and running away from Brandon. Inflation just hit a 40 year high, Covid was worse under Brandon than it was under Trump, leftists are trying to push trans and CRT propaganda on school children, the Afghanistan withdrawal was a humiliating debacle, and Brandon is as senile as Kamala is utterly unlikable.
Americans are finally waking up to that and, as a result, are predictably running away from the race-obsessed socialists that are destroying the economy. Now the GOP just needs to capitalize on that, which it likely can so long as the MAGA candidates set the tone, not the RINOs that push for whatever the Democrats wanted 5 years ago.
