Of Course: Stacey Abrams Caught Maskless around Masked Kids

What’s Georgia gubernatorial hopeful Stacey Abrams doing right now as Kemp and Perdue argue over which of them will be the Republican nominee? Not doing anything to take advantage of that situation, as a smart candidate would do. Rather, she’s putting herself in a bad spot by going maskless around masked kids.

The photo comes from her appearance at the Glennwood Elementary School, a school outside Atlanta, where she was meeting with students and teachers while kicking off an “African-American read-in.”

Unsurprisingly, Abrams was dumb enough to not know how the photo would be received and, when the school’s principal tweeted it out, went ahead and quote-tweeted it, saying that the visit was “spectacular, delightful, and outstanding.”

But while she saw no harm in the photo, one in which she’s the only unmasked person, many others did and went ahead and skewered her on Twitter after one account posted the photo with the caption “Yet another picture of an unmasked Democrat surrounded by masked children. This is at a Decatur, Georgia elementary school, where they have a district-wide mask mandate.”

Many commentators went ahead and tossed out their two cents on the issue. Glenn Greenwald, for example, quote tweeted the post and said “Meanwhile: since @staceyabrams  is a very sophisticated and important liberal, I’m sure there’s something in The Science™ that justifies her being maskless indoors, surrounded by young kids forced to wear masks all day. Maybe she’s holding her breath?“

Current Georgia governor Brian Kemp, who could be running against Abrams if he doesn’t beat Perdue in the primary, said “Stacey Abrams wants state government mask mandates for Georgians and their children. But it looks like they wouldn’t apply when she’s attending a photo op.”

Similarly, Clay Travis hammered Stacey, saying “The number of left wing politicians who post photos posing without masks while all the kids around them are wearing masks is stunning. Here is Stacey Abrams doing it. This is child abuse.”

He went on to drive the nail home in a thread:

Rich Lowry attacked too, saying “Confirmation, if any were needed, that Stacey Abrams is a member of the Democratic elite in good standing—mask hypocrisy is practically a status symbol now”

Even RINO Megan McCain jumped in to attack Abrams, saying:

As of right now, Decatur, the city in Georgia where the school is, has imposed a mask mandate on its citizens, including school kids. It announced that on its website, saying:

“At its regular meeting, Monday, Jan. 18, the Decatur City Commission approved to extend the Face Cover ordinance requiring individuals to wear masks and protective coverings during the COVID-19 pandemic. This Ordinance will remain in effect until 11:59 p.m. on February 22, 2022, or until it is extended, rescinded, or amended by ordinance of the City Commission.”

“Hypocrisy” is often a futile cry, as the left doesn’t care about being called out. But average people do, and photos like this show just why the Democrat elites are so despised by the average American.
