Well, Whoopi Goldberg is back after her post-Holocaust minimization timeout that lasted all of two weeks. Turns out, despite her moaning and claims that she might quit in protest, she wants to keep her cushy job and nice salary. Shocker.
So, she’s back on The View and those cackling hens, or should I say witches, are back to pushing their ridiculous, far-left message. Speaking about masking, co-host Whoopi Goldberg led off by saying:
“Now today the CDC is looking to ease mask mandates by next week if case numbers keep trending in the right direction, which is down. But a lot of Americans are done waiting. Parents in one San Francisco school district voted out three board members over concerns that they weren’t prioritizing really doing the right thing for their kids in school.
Some people are warning Democrats that keeping mandates for too long could be political liability, but we’re just saying they’re changing the mandate. That’s gone out the window. What should we be concerned about really right now?”
She’s right that it’s a political liability; Americans don’t want to have to wear masks and are furious that the government has made them do so for so long. Whatever their efficacy, which isn’t being discussed here, Americans simply don’t like them and don’t want to wear them anymore.
The pearl clutchers and tyrants that demand we do will thus be inherently unpopular; no one but the crazies have any interest in what they’re pushing on the populace.
Well, it turns out (surprise, surprise) that one of Whoopi’s cohosts, Joy Behar, is one of those crazies. In fact, she’s so looney that she thinks masking should go on “indefinitely.” In her words:
“Personally, I listen to the little voice in my head that doesn’t really follow 100% of what they tell me because they keep changing it. Like a very short time ago, they were saying put the N-95 masks on, and now they’re saying you don’t have to wear them anymore.
So if I go on the subway, if I go on a bus, into the theater, if I go — where else would I go? A crowded place, I would wear a mask, and I might do that indefinitely. Why do I need a flu or a cold even? So I’m listening to myself right now. I don’t think it’s 100% safe yet.”

Of course, it’s not “100% safe yet.” No matter what we do, no matter how many mandates there are and what precautions are taken, it will never be 100% safe. That’s impossible, and not in any way what we should be shooting for.
Rather, we must do what’s best for society, and letting people see each other’s faces and smiles is undoubtedly a societal good, no matter how effective masking might be as stopping the Shanghai Shivers or whatever other germ Behar is scared of.
But, of course, such common sense is in short supply and people like Behar are the ones that run the show, so mask up until Behar and her smooth brain are finally convinced things are 100% safe!
Of course, she wasn’t wearing a mask while talking, so take from that what you will.
