A career criminal who smashed a woman in the face with a bag of his own excrement and brazenly joked to cops “sh-t happens” was released without bail on Monday.
The disgusting incident which happened on a Bronx subway station was captured on CCTV.
According to police reports, Frank Abrokwa, 37, had approached and attempted to speak to the female victim who was sitting on a platform bench.
Apparently unhappy with the woman’s lack of response, Abrokwa said: “Hey mami, how come you don’t want to talk to me?”
He proceeded to enter an empty car of a train where he filled a plastic bag with his own feces before smashing it in the victim’s face.
“Instead of taking the lack of engagement in stride, the defendant responded with violence”, said Assistant District Attorney Grace Phillips.
“He walked into a nearby idling subway car and defecated in a bag.”
“He then walked back to the complainant and repeatedly smashed the bag and left his feces in her face, head, neck, shoulders and back area. She had feces in her eyes, and hair”.
The ADA reported as he attacked the 43-year-old Wakefield 241st Street straphanger who was attempting to protect herself with a handbag, the vile thug screamed: “Like this, bitch?’”
Cops arrested Abrokwa at a homeless shelter where he was residing in connection to the vile February 21 assault. According to police reports, he made shameless jokes about the arrest, laughing and quipping to cops “sh-t happens” and “this is a sh-tty situation”.
Apparently still remorseless in the Bronx Criminal Court before Judge Wanda Licitra, he could be heard complaining: ““Why am I still here? I’m f–king tired of it. I’m hungry.”
As the ADA requested a protection order for the unnamed feces attack victim, Abrokwa yelled: “I don’t know that b—h”, before directing his venom at the judge.
“Why am I being mistreated by the system?”, he berated the juror.
“I’m being respectful. I’m talking to my attorney. You’re talking to her. Not to me. F–k you, bitch.”
Despite the vile nature of the attack and Adrokwa’s shameful behavior throughout the court proceedings, he was released without bail as under the state’s bail reform laws, the charges against him were not bail-eligible.
According to cops and court reports, it wasn’t long before Adrokwa attacked another victim. On September 9 he approached and violently attacked a Jewish man in Brooklyn. He reportedly snarled: “F–ing Jew, I’m going to kill you” before spitting at the victim, throwing an unlanded punch and then fleeing the scene.
On January 9 the career criminal, who reportedly has 22 unsealed arrests and dozens of sealed arrests, struck again, this time at a station in Harlem where, according to cops, the violent thug punched a 30 year-old man multiple times in the head.
For both of these cases Adrokwa was released without bail for the same reason as the feces attack – the charges are not eligible for monetary bail under the 2019 NY state bail reform laws.
A day after his previous violent attack, Adrokwa unbelievably struck again – this time threatening a Wakefield hardware store employee with a screwdriver and a can of mace.
For this he was charged with menacing, petty larceny and criminal possession of a weapon but was again released back onto the streets on his own recognizance.
When will the criminal justice system be corrected? The crime rate keeps climbing because there are no consequences for their actions. This needs to stop.
