DeSantis had a strong, unrepentant message for all those that want to do away with his anti-sexual propaganda for young kids bill, the one labeled the “don’t say gay bill” by critics: he’s not backing down and has no intention of surrendering to the radical left.
In his words,
“We are not going to allow them to inject transgenderism into kindergarten…We’re standing for the kids and we’re standing for the parents…
And I tell you this. The chance that I am going to back down to my commitment to students and back down to my commitment to parents’ rights simply because of fraudulent media narratives or pressure from woke corporations, the chances of that are zero.”
Watch him here:
.@GovRonDeSantis is NOT backing down and caving to the woke left: “We are not going to allow them to inject transgenderism into kindergarten…We’re standing for the kids and we’re standing for the parents…The chance that I am going to back down…are zero.” pic.twitter.com/bMxjJpidts

And, as you can hear in the video, that’s not all DeSantis had to say. He also sounded off on the far-left Disney company’s push to get rid of the bill, blasting it as a CCP company and saying:
“When you have companies that have made a fortune off being family-friendly and catering to families and young kids, they should understand that parents of young kids do not want this injected into their kid’s kindergarten classroom.
“If that’s the hill they’re going to die on, then how do they possibly explain lining their pockets with their relationship from the Communist Party of China? Because that’s what they do, and they make a fortune, and they don’t say a word about the really brutal practices that you see over there at the hands of the CCP.
“And so in Florida, our policies got to be based on the best interest of Florida citizens, not on the musing of woke corporations.”
Wow! So utterly unrepentant, so marvelously pro-Florida and pro-conservative. If only every state had a governor like Ron DeSantis.
DeSantis’ press secretary, backing up his words with a definitive statement about his attitude, said “Governor DeSantis has always been open to hearing from Floridians and having conversations about legislation – as long as those discussions are grounded in facts, not false media narratives. The governor’s position has not changed.”
And false media narratives there indeed are. Disney’s woke president, Bob Chapek, said:
“I understand that many are upset that we did not speak out against the bill. We were opposed to the bill from the outset, but we chose not to take a public position on it because we thought we could be more effective working behind the scenes, working with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle.
“I called Gov. DeSantis this morning to express our disappointment and concern that if the legislation becomes law, it could be used to unfairly target gay, lesbian, non-binary, and transgender kids and families.”
Similarly, the White House press secretary, Jen Psaki, said “Why are Florida leaders deciding they need to discriminate against kids who are members of the LGBTQI community? What prompts them to do that? Is it meanness? Is it wanting to make kids have more difficult times in school, in their communities?”
But DeSantis isn’t backing down; he’s standing up to the woke CEOs, standing up to the woke feds, and fighting for the rights of Floridians to not have their young children propagandized to in school. Kids should learn about math, writing, and reading, not radical sexual theory.
