Walt Disney Co. used to be one of those companies associated with America. Between its participation in cheering on the Space Race, creation of movies and characters loved by American kids, and theme parks that are so quintessentially American, it was once a company loved by Americans on all parts of the political spectrum.
No longer. Now, under the current “leadership” of its weak-kneed CEO and with its tendency to bend to the whim of its wokest employees, Disney is detested by the right, particularly now that it’s taken a firm stance against Ron DeSantis and his pro-parental rights priorities.
Well, Trump supporter and former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee tore into Disney for its creepy, woke shift in a recent video, as you can watch here:
In the video, Huckabee brilliantly skewers Disney’s turn toward wokeness. First, he begins by describing Disney as it used to exist and then contrasting that with its creepy current attitude, saying:
“The wonderful family-friendly company that Walt Disney founded is gone, replaced by creepy corporate executives who have lost their minds, and will likely lose a lot of their customers. They certainly have lost me.”
“This is so outrageous that it’s hard to believe that the Disney Company has become such a purveyor of soft porn and wokeism, that instead of entertaining children with fantasy and magic, Disney’s new model is sexual fantasy, outright betrayal, and rejection of traditional values of marriage and gender.”
But that wasn’t all. Continuing his brutal smackdown of the woke company for the horrific message its starting to push, one firmly at odds with the morally upright values that used to define the company, Huckabee said:
“Instead of moral neutrality, Disney has opted for immoral advocacy. So I wonder will their remake of ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarves’ be called ‘The Nymphomaniac and the Seven Male Prostitutes’?
“I, for one, don’t want to enrich the people that have destroyed the Magic Kingdom and turned it into the perverted palace.
He also pointed out how ridiculous the company’s focus on sex and gender is, particularly given the content it is producing. Kids should be entertained, not propagandized to about transgenderism. Speaking on that, Huckabee said:
“Disney executive leaders expressed the goal that in future Disney movies at least half of all the characters in the film are to be gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, or something other than heterosexual.
“Do children really need to know about the sex lives of any cartoon characters?”
His comments will certainly rankle many leftists, but they’re comments that Americans need to hear.
Disney is no longer the wonderful, family-friendly company that it used to be. It’s gone woke and its content is shifting as a result. If conservatives don’t want groomers talking to their kids about sex, they need to ditch Disney and turn away from its disgusting, woke programming and do so quickly; if we keep waiting and shoveling cash towards it in the interim, tomorrow might be too late.
