Unsurprisingly, it turns out that Twitter employees weren’t super happy about the Board of Directors selling the company to Elon. So, rather than just suck it up and deal with it or quit, some apparently planned on sabotaging the platform, or at least Twitter managers worried that sabotage was about to happen.
News of that came out on Twitter, with Bloomberg business journalist Nick Turner announcing that Twitter “locked down product changes to the site” so that those employees infuriated by the Elon Musk situation wouldn’t be able to bring the whole thing crumbling down.:
Twitter has locked down product changes to the site, keeping employees who may be miffed about the Elon Musk deal from “going rogue” https://t.co/wKiYWyXGPq via @KurtWagner8 @EdLudlow

The Bloomberg article tweeted by Turner first makes much that same claim, saying:
Twitter Inc. locked down changes to its social networking platform through Friday after accepting a $44 billion bid from billionaire Elon Musk, making it harder for employees to make unauthorized changes, according to people familiar with the matter.
What that internal lock down means, apparently, is that Twitter won’t be allowing employees to make non-business critical updates, at least according to the anonymous Bloomberg sources.
And that’s not all. The report adds that “Product changes will require approval from a vice president, the people said. Twitter imposed the temporary ban to keep employees who may be miffed about the deal from “going rogue,” according to one of the people.”
The Twitter employees are apparently furious that Musk is a “free speech absolutist” that intends on only censoring illegal speech on the platform and on protecting all legal speech.
He thinks doing so, defending free speech, is critical to our survival, or as he was quoted by the Twitter announcement of the sale as saying: “Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated.”
If anything, the Bloomberg account highlights why Musk should take Ben Shapiro’s advice and just fire all of the woke employees ASAP when he finally and fully takes over Twitter; right now, the woke employees can’t even be trusted to not burn the company to the ground and management has had to lock their ability to make updates to stop them from doing so. Such people will be hard to “convince” that the exact opposite of what they believe is right and virtuous.
Rather, it seems more likely that they’ll disregard Musk’s will if they stay on board and do what damage they can to his vision of the company if kept in their positions and allowed to do so.
Musk shouldn’t put up with that and certainly shouldn’t waste time bickering with employees whose minds have been melted by the woke mind virus. Rather, he needs to just do what is necessary and toss out pink slips through the cubicles of Twitter’s office like a scythe sweeps through wheat. Otherwise it will be neer impossible for him to effect his vision for the company and turn it into a free speech platform.
