Well, Elon set the internet on fire with a tweet…again. This time, he seemingly warned about his imminent demise in a tweet that was really about Russia but some took it to be a Hillary Clinton joke.
What happened was that Musk posted a screenshot of what he claims to be a translated message that Dmitry Rogozin, Moscow’s space chief, sent to the Russian media. The translation of the supposed message says, according to the screenshot Elon posted:
“From the testimony of the captured commander of the 36th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of [redacted], Colonel Dmitry Kormyankov, it turns out that the internet terminals of Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite company were delivered to the militants of the Nazi Azov Battalion and the [redacted] Marines in Mariupol by military helicopters. According to our information, the delivery of the Starlink equipment was carried out by the Pentagon.
“Elon Musk, thus, is involved in supplying the fascist forces in [redacted] with military communication equipment. And for this, Elon, you will be held accountable like an adult – no matter how much you’ll play the fool.”
Here’s that tweet with the screenshot:

He later followed that up with the tweet comment “there are no angels in war”.
So, joking about the fact that the Russkies had fingered him as supplying the equipment to Russia’s most pressing current enemy, Elon then tweeted out:
“If I die under mysterious circumstances, it’s been nice knowin ya”
If I die under mysterious circumstances, it’s been nice knowin ya

Contextually, the tweet was obviously a joke about Russia, as those who get in the way of the Russian Empire tend to go the way of the dodo, as we’ve seen from how Putin’s domestic poltical enemies and certain defectors have been treated. If Elon drinks tea, he needs to make sure to check it for polonium.
But, as is usual on Twitter, the tweet was immediately taken completely out of context, with moth people who saw it having no real idea what Elon was referring to. It didn’t help things that he tweeted it out separately rather than as a comment on the post about Russia fingering him for providing the Starlink terminals, which might have added context and made it make sense.
But, Elon being Elon, he didn’t do that, so most took it as a joke about Hillary Clinton coming after him, with a series of hilarious comments making jokes about that and the death of pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein and those with dirt on him. Here are some of the best ones:

I’ll never forget this. https://t.co/sC5r21QDmi

And, also, Elon being Elon, he didn’t leave it there, but instead interacted with various people commenting on the bizarre tweet. One person, commenting on the tweet, said:
You won’t die before your day Elon. Anyhow, you are/were a unique figure in this world. I’m only wondering one thing: As a genius, haven’t you find out that there is a great creator of this world yet? If you did, make sure you confess this before your last heart beat. Bless u
Elon, responding, said, “Thank you for the blessing, but I’m ok with going to hell, if that is indeed my destination, since the vast majority of all humans ever born will be there.” That one will sure set the internet on fire too, particularly if taken even more out of context.
Thank you for the blessing, but I’m ok with going to hell, if that is indeed my destination, since the vast majority of all humans ever born will be there.

Then there was YouTube sensation “Mr. Beast,” who said “If that happens can I have Twitter“. Elon, responding, simply said “Ok.” That should set the internet alight too.
Ok

Yet again, Elon managed to set the internet on fire with one simple tweet. He sure knows how to troll.
