Former President Trump just, in a Truth Social post, slammed Fox and made a very funny suggestion about what CNN should do to recover from its constant losses to Fox News, as viewers have stuck with the nominally conservative station while ditching fake news, lie-filled CNN.
In the post, Trump first slammed Fox News for reviewing to cover conservative commentator and documentary producer Dinesh D’Souza’s recent documentary about the voter fraud that he and others maintain took place during the 2020 election, saying:
“Fox News is no longer Fox News. They won’t even show or discuss the greatest & most impactful documentary of our time, “2000 Mules.” The Radical Left Democrats are thrilled – They don’t want the TRUTH to get out. Depressing to watch what has happened to Fox”
That echoes an argument made by Dinesh D’Souza himself, who is somehow still on Twitter. He, in a post on the ridiculousness of Fox not covering his documentary or the claims within it, said:
“Fox hosts and pundits routinely denounce the mainstream media for banning any mention of the Hunter Biden story in the weeks leading up to the election. Fox itself is now banning any mention of “2000 Mules.” Both are important, legitimate stories. So what’s the difference?”
D’Souza also, in a later post on the subject and Fox’s refusal to mention his documentary or its claims, said:
“If Fox is being blocked from mentioning “2000 Mules” by its lawyers, it needs to fire its lawyers. They let Fox get into ruinous litigation over what they did allow, and now want to cover their butts by shutting down a completely legitimate news story of massive public interest.”

And that’s not the first statement that Trump has made in support of D’Souza’s documentary. He also held a private sceening of the documentary earlier in May, telling the assembled audience “I think you’re in one way going to enjoy this film. In another way, you may leave here very, very depressed. I just ask you this: Do something about it.”
In any case, former President Trump then turned from bashing Fox to making a joke about CNN in the second half of his Truth Social post, saying:
“CNN should go Conservative and take over the greates, strongest, and most powerful BASE in U.S. hhistory. Nobody is watching CNN’s Fake News now so, as I say, what the hell have they got to lose? Sadly, they’re to stupid to make change!”
He probably should have spell-checked the part about CNN being too stupid in which he said “to” and “change” rather than “too” and “changes”, but it was an otherwise awesome statement that hit CNN with an honest truth: what’s it’s currently doing isn’t working, so why not pick up the mantle dropped by Fox now that it’s gone left and leave the squabbling of the left-leaning stations behind to take over the right?
Of course, CNN won’t take him up on that; Stelter is hardly the man to lead the vitalist right. But, still, it’s a hilarious idea that shows how much former President Trump has soured on Fox recently.
