LOL: NASCAR Gets Slammed for Woke Pride Month Tweet

Can you think of a sport that would hold out against going woke longer than all the rest, if only in the interest of keeping its fans on board and not losing them over some stupid woke nonsense?

There are a few that come to mind. Golf, for one, given that it generally appeals to an older and whiter, and thus more conservative, audience. MMA is another; though more diverse than golf, it generally appeals to men, who are generally conservative, and tough people, who are also generally conservative.

But, of all the sports that you would think would stay conservative, it would be NASCAR. It appeals to white southerners, generally at least, people who are ruby-red in their voting patterns, and, even if not Republicans because Lincoln was a Republican, far from being woke in voting pattern or temperament.

Yet it’s NASCAR that went woke in a recent tweet celebrating pride month, posting a gay graphic and saying:

As we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, we acknowledge that recent actions have not aligned with NASCAR’s mission to be a welcoming sport for all.

We remain steadfast in our commitment to create a more inclusive environment — in our workplaces, at the race track & in the stands.

Unsurprisingly, right-wing Twitter jumped in to slam the tweet and mercilessly mock woke NASCAR for posting it, with these being some of the better comments and quote tweets:

They hate you and everything you believe in. Every aspect of your culture, every cornerstone of your religion, and every aspect of what you find moral or immoral, all of that is under attack.

There is not one thing the thugs of the liberal order haven’t GAEified, even NASCAR.

Wow, that is a SUPER woke version of the Pride flag you have going on there. I must admit I am not familiar with the meaning of the purple circle on the end.

I am so glad they added the Purple #MonkeyPoxCircle Warning to the Gay @NASCAR Flag.

This all started because talentless driver Bubba Wallace fabricated a hate crime for attention.

Now NASCAR has gone full woke.

The racing is boring, predictable & woke..
You allow BLM flags yet ban Confederate flags..
The stands are usually at best 1/3 filled..
You do EXACTLY what NBC/Comcast tells you to do..
Congrats you ruined what was once the greatest sport in America..👇🖕🖕👎🤨

NASCAR must really want to lose money, because it went full woke with this tweet and if there’s one lesson of the past few years, it’s that those companies that go woke go broke. Maybe Trump can buy NASCAR after it fails and make NASCAR conservative again. Then again, maybe nothing that’s gone woke is worth saving.

Either way, there is one major debate that now needs to be settled: is this tweet or the USMC gay tweet from yesterday more woke?
