Writers confirm ‘woke’ Disney won’t ruin ‘Deadpool 3’ by making it family friendly

The latest announcement is claiming that Deadpool 3 won’t be family-friendly and reassured fans that this movie will keep the scenes showing gory violence and raw humor, which made this movie famous.

The legendary Deadpool is now becoming part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick as its authors. Since Disney bought Fox, other sci-fi movies like The X-men and Fantastic four have joined the MCU.

Fans have been waiting for Reed Richards and Charles Xavier to appear in an MCU production since their appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022). Disney+ made a bold decision and brought the Netflix Marvel program to Disney+ and altered the parental controls to enable the viewing of darker content while still providing safeguards for parents who don’t want their children to watch episodes like Jessica Jones.

When it comes to Deadpool 3, fans are terrified that Disney will be rated PG-13 and ruin the experience for those who have appreciated the characters for so long. According to a recent interview, the Deadpool 3 writers do not believe Disney will do so, as the studio has been extremely supportive of the writers’ ideas for the film thus far:

“They’ve been very supportive with regard to that. Now when it comes to a particular joke, if we cross a line, maybe we’ll hear at some point, ‘Maybe not that joke.’ But I think they’ve been incredibly supportive of what we’re doing, because obviously, we were doing it separate from them for a long time, and I think they’ve seen the success and they’ve had their own even greater success. So hopefully it’ll be a marriage made in heaven. But we’ve definitely got their support, and that’s a great thing to feel,” as reported.

Fans are afraid that the Disney will cut the Deadpool humor, afraid that the gag could jeopardize their image, but writers claimed that the whole merging process of two universes is cool:

“It’s an absolute thrill to have the band back together, to have a new backdrop in the MCU with new characters, new villains, that kind of thing. You know, it’s never a marriage we necessarily saw coming—Fox and Disney, that was an external thing [separate] from our storytelling process. But we’re absolutely finding the serendipity and the gold in that situation, or we’re trying to.”

Fans will continue to be wary of Deadpool 3 until they see it, which won’t be anytime soon. Reynolds has already stated that he will take a vacation from acting. The conclusion is that Deadpool’s arrival in the MCU will be delayed, but its true fans are sure to wait for the release patiently. It’s not like Deadpool will need to appear anytime soon, as his persona will be disconnected from the MCU, just like it happened with Moon Knight. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Phase Four has kicked off with a plethora of exciting content that is sure to please all Marvel fans.
