Police make grim discovery, finding dozens of dead alleged migrants, have to call for mass casualty evacuation: report

Police in San Antonio, Texas, encountered a horrifying scene inside a tractor-trailer where at least 46-50 alleged illegal migrants were discovered dead in the back, prompting a call for a mass casualty evacuation ambulance. The death toll might rise. The 18-wheeler was discovered in a remote part of the city’s southwest at Quintana and Cassin roads.

Around 6 o’clock, at least 20 emergency vehicles were dispatched to the scene, according to local news sources. According to several San Antonio Police Department sources, 16 new people were discovered alive and taken to hospitals.

A mass casualty evacuation ambulance was also recorded by a KSAT-TV team. The Baptist Medical Center hospital noted that at least five people were in the hospital, in critical condition.

Greg Abbott, a Republican Gov., posted a tweet on his profile and used the opportunity to blame Joe Biden and his lax border enforcement policies. “These deaths are on Biden. They are a result of his deadly open border policies. They show the deadly consequences of his refusal to enforce the law,” he tweeted.

Abbott is not the only one who is dissatisfied with Biden’s administration policy. Related news reveal: 20 Republican governors have co-signed a scathing letter to President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris over their mishandling of the southern border “crisis” that has seen record numbers since Joe Biden took office.

The letter accuses the Biden/Harris administration of irresponsible rhetoric and incentivizing an “influx of illegal crossings.”

The Republican signed letter demands the administration take action on the border “crisis” immediately.

The letter says: “This Administration has enticed a rush of migrants to our border and incentivized an influx of illegal crossings by using irresponsible rhetoric and reversing a slew of policies—from halting border wall construction to eliminating asylum agreements to refusing to enforce immigration laws. Even officials of our neighbor, Mexico, reportedly conveyed concerns that the shift in U.S. policy is stoking illegal immigration and creating business for organized crime.”

In July 2017, when a trailer with illegal immigrants was left at a Wal-Mart in San Antonio, a similar catastrophe occurred. Of the approximately 40 migrants, eight were found to have passed away from the heat, and two more passed away in hospitals.

“They were very hot to the touch. So these people were in this trailer without any signs of any type of water,” said San Antonio’s Fire Chief right after the 2017 incident. “It was a mass casualty situation for us.”

The truck driver was found guilty and given a life sentence in prison.
