Stephen King really needs to stop tweeting and focus on writing a book. I know, it’s been a while, but I’m sure he has one more left in him if he could just get over the Trump Derangement Syndrome that has dogged him since 2016.
That’s not looking likely, sadly, as TDS is quite a vexing problem for lefty loony birds like King. Often times they will develop symptoms RELATED to their TDS, like DeSantis Derangement Syndrome. It appears King is flush with a raging case of DDS along with his TDS.
It is certainly a good thing that King can’t charge Trump and DeSantis rent for all the time they live in his head. Stephen would never have to write another novel!
What’s the latest masterwork of fiction from King? It comes in the form of a tweet. Remember, there’s NOT supposed to be any misinformation on Twitter, but they must be giving King a break. Let’s get the story via Outkick:
Tuesday, King tweeted that Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill requiring Florida students and professors to register their political views.
“DeSantis signs bill requiring Florida students, professors to register political views with state. I. Can’t. Even,” King tweeted.
Over 16,000 users shared this tweet and 100,000 more commented. It caused quite the stir. The tweet is also inaccurate.
You can’t even what, Stephen? Tell the truth? Do a little research?
Even on its face this sounds like misinformation. If someone walked up and told me this, my first thought would be, “that doesn’t sound right”. Apparently, King’s first thought was TWITTER. NOW.
The fact-checkers — whom King supports — debunked this very statement over one year ago:
Oh look. @StephenKing spreading false info. Shocker. Dude has lost his marbles. https://t.co/R7bamarqeN pic.twitter.com/egsXrXma1o

What caused King to tweet this lie one year later? It appears King got his info from shady Lincoln Project co-founder Rick Wilson, who just a day before, shared an article from June 2021 spreading that exact myth.
Wilson had his Junes mixed up and didn’t bother to see if the info he promoted was correct:
What happened to make this year-old lie resurface today? That piece is from 2021. It was debunked last June. https://t.co/MUyvUtNqT3 pic.twitter.com/i7OwsluhZx

So, riddle me this Batman, if Twitter were so enamored with the importance of fact checking and debunking so called mis/disinformation, why are these tweets still up? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
I’ll tell you, and it’s something we all ALREADY know; Twitter is a leftist tool bent on destroying the right, and eventually free speech, and what’s left of democracy.
Sound dramatic? It’s not. One simply just has to pay attention and their eyes will open. It happened to Elon Musk, it’s happening to Bill Maher, and it’s happening to Russel Brand. It just requires critical thinking and a desire to seek the truth.
Sadly however, Stephen King seems to lack both of these traits. One can understand to an extent how, as a fiction writer that has spent his entire life making stories up, King has no problem lying and spreading lies.
What’s sadder and more disturbing is his lack of critical thinking. Possibly future generations will study this era in politics and correctly identify the detrimental effects of Trump Derangement Syndrome and DeSantis Derangement Syndrome. They need look no further than former great fiction writer, turned great Twitter fiction tweeter, Stephen King.
