I waited to write this article when a screenshot first appeared. I said there’s no way they would do this. However, my Twitter feed won’t leave it alone and now Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY) – one of the few legislators I trust and admire – has shared the same thing with a harrowing message.
The IRS is seeking to fill its 87,000 vacant positions with people who are willing and able to mow you down when you don’t readily comply with government robbery and property confiscation.
Massie wrote:
“Last week, Democrats in the House passed a bill to ban Americans from buying AR-15s, calling the AR-15 a “weapon of war.” They exempted IRS from the ban. This week they will add tens of thousands of IRS agents to the budget. Meanwhile they posted this:”

The New York Post filled in some backstory to this dystopian turn of events, noting particularly that Americans least likely to have extra money sitting aside will be hardest hit.
“The uproar over the post coincided with criticism of the proposed expansion of the IRS under the Inflation Reduction Act, which includes an $80 billion boost to the IRS over a 10-year period, with more than half intended to help the agency crack down on tax evasion.
But Republicans warn the bill will fund an army of IRS agents to crack down on small business owners and lower-income workers. Americans who earn less than $75,000 per year are slated to receive 60% of the additional tax audits expected under the Democrats’ spending package, according to an analysis released by House Republicans.”
The idea that the majority of audits will affect people barely eking out a living couldn’t make this initiative more clearer. It’s not about fairness or paying your fair share; the government can, as we have seen, just print more money when it wants to. No, this is about punishing people who aren’t in line and who need to be harassed until they bend over backwards for the Regime.
The Post went on to comment how the rightful outrage produced a change in the language. Still, it seems unlikely that a wording difference will mean agents come to your house with balloons when you tell them to go to hell for soaking you for another $100.
“A link to a job posting for “Criminal Investigation Special Agents” appeared to have been briefly deleted on Wednesday, following online criticism of the posting’s language, though it reappeared back online after a FOX Business inquiry to the agency.
A “key requirement” for applicants is that they have to be “legally allowed to carry a firearm,” and “major duties” include “Carry a firearm and be willing to use deadly force, if necessary” and “Be willing and able to participate in arrests, execution of search warrants, and other dangerous assignments,” according to the job posting.”
Massie’s tweet was the fact that since its original posting, the IRS has since deleted the absurd and dystopian job description. National Review wrote:
“The IRS deleted a job posting Wednesday seeking a Special Agent “willing to use deadly force” for its law enforcement division, Criminal Investigation (CI). The deletion came amid renewed scrutiny of the IRS in response to a Democrat-backed spending bill that would double the size of the agency.
The post was deleted Monday after the job notice was shared on Twitter by documentarian Ford Fischer, garnering thousands of interactions.
The IRS did not immediately respond to an inquiry from National Review asking why they deleted the job posting.”
