The moment millions of Americans have been waiting for has finally come. Liz Cheney is a massive loser in the Wyoming primaries.
After being behind in the polls by double-digit margins – some polls had her more than 30 points down heading into the final days – Cheney conceded her election while trailing 63-32 with 99% of precincts reporting. This is nothing short of a landslide and complete repudiation of RINO Republicanism.
All I can say is: It’s about damn time.
Liz Cheney has been the face of RINO Establishment for only a few years, but it feels like forever. She came into office the same year as Donald Trump, winning her seat in the 2016 election cycle when Republicans rode the coattails of the tough and straight-talking GOP presidential candidate. For the rest of her tenure, she spat on him with narcissistic scorn.
In response to his own candidate, Hageman, winning yugely, Donald Trump released a brief statement as well.
“This is a wonderful result for America, and a complete rebuke of the Unselect Committee of political Hacks and Thugs,” he said. “Liz Cheney should be ashamed of herself, the way she acted, and her spiteful, sanctimonious words and actions towards others. Now she can finally disappear into the depths of political oblivion where, I am sure, she will be much happier than she is right now.”
Prior to her time in Congress, Cheney was a career State Department hack courtesy of Daddy Cheney’s connections. In other words, she has her entire life to look back and realize everything she’s done because of a man and that she only caused regression in the cause for freedom both here and abroad. Good riddance to a worthless pawn.
The only thing left to figure out is where she’ll go next. Will Cheney run as a Democrat? Will she take a job spewing vile, nonsensical hatred on MSNBC?
Ahead of the primary election, another corporate media outlet was lamenting Cheney’s imminent demise. CNN was forced to admit that it never looked good for her from the beginning.
“For Cheney specifically, you can see this is in the CES polls of Wyoming voters taken in late 2020 and then late 2021. Cheney’s disapproval rating in this deeply Republican state went from 26% before her vote to impeach to 72% afterward.
Cheney’s high unpopularity led to a rush of primary challengers. The one who emerged from the pack and garnered Trump’s endorsement, attorney and former Republican National Committeewoman Harriet Hageman, looks to be a heavy favorite on Tuesday.
Based on my reading of all the data out there, Hageman is most likely going to win by somewhere north of 20 points. The betting markets put Hageman at more than a 95% favorite to be Wyoming’s next House member.”
There is a lot to celebrate here. In the macro, anti-MAGA politicians are being run out of town in GOP primaries. A Trump endorsement means a lot, and by replacing RINO hacks with America-First candidates, there is a real opportunity to bring conservative and limited-government values back to the United States.
