Generally, a good rule of thumb is that if you don’t want your home broken into you need to lock it up. Other things help, from home security systems to thicker doors, but however crystal clear your cameras, expensive your alarm system, or bash-proof your doors are, locking them is the good first step for keeping out criminals.
Sure, they might smash a window or find a glass plane on a door to knock in and get into the house, but locking it up at least makes it more difficult for them, potentially keeping away the criminals looking for a soft and easy target.
Well, that lesson is one the Texas National Guard tried to apply to the border, locking up a gate through which Brandon’s migrant invasion was flowing in an attempt to keep out some of the horde of humanity coming into Texas.
Specifically, the border defenders in the Texas National Guard tried to keep out some of the illegal immigrants coming through the high-traffic Del Rio Sector of the border on Wednesday by locking a gate along the Rio Grande, a spot that’s a major crossing point for the illegal immigrant hordes flooding into America.
Well, the Border Patrol, despite theoretically being there to defend the border and keep out illegal border crossers, didn’t like that. In fact, it showed up and unlocked the gate, making it even easier for illegals to cut across the border and make it into America. Watch that here:
NEW: For the first time, we witnessed the TX National Guard close & lock a gate on private property at a major crossing area in Eagle Pass, denying entry to migrants who just crossed illegally & expected to be let in. Border Patrol then came w/ a key & let them in for processing.

Continuing the Twitter thread, Bill Melugin added more details about what was going on and why the Border Patrol officials were making it so easy for the illegals to cross the border, saying:
This was the moment Border Patrol arrived with the key and let the migrants in. The landowner allows both TX DPS/National Guard and Border Patrol to work here. The gate has always been left open in the past. TX is now closing it, & migrants have to wait for BP to be let in.
Border Patrol opening gates etc to allow migrants in is not new. They have to process migrants on U.S. soil per federal law. What’s new is TX is now closing the gate & denying entry at this major crossing location. Always open in months past, including this video I shot in May.
So Texas tried to stand up for its sovereignty, America’s sovereignty, and the borders of the United States and was punished for its pains by the Border Patrol showing up and letting in yet more illegal immigrants that could very well prey on ordinary Americans and take advantage of the expensive services America provides to the poor.
Thanks to them, this is what Texas is now dealing with:
NEW: Part of a huge group of approx 200 that crossed illegally into private property in Eagle Pass, TX this afternoon. Some holding infants & babies.
