Direct democracy is dangerous simply because a ruling class can bribe the majority with other people’s money, cruelly taken by force. It is unfair and the result is always a breakdown in society as this becomes evident to all as exemplified by ‘president’ Biden’s transfer of wealth from the poor to the college-educated rich.
Many quotations warn of the danger of buying votes with other people’s money, in that it will lead to societal collapse. Many have been ‘debunked’ but we know the source of this quote:
It is impossible to introduce into society a greater change and a greater Evil than this: the conversion of the law into an instrument of plunder.
Anti-liberty leftists have always had a habit of buying votes with other people’s money, cruelly taken by force.
The problem for the liberticidal left is that they spent the last year and a half trying to destroy the country. This is all they have, so their good little propaganda minions are trying to help them out with a narrative based on nothing.
Conventional wisdom is that the party in power would lose seats in Congress with the midterm election. Add to that the enemies of liberty on the left trying to destroy the country, and it seemed obvious that they would go down to ignominious defeat.
But then they started greasing the palms of their loyal supporters, and their fortunes seemed to turn around.
Does everyone fully realize the possible danger of this development?
This time around, it appears to be helping them ‘win’ while destroying the country.
Problem is that we don’t know how much of this is a creation of the nation’s socialist media cabal and how much is genuine. Most sane people are averse to hyperinflation, an illegal invasion, record fuel prices or none at all, crime out of control, the nation severely divided against itself, and is a laughing stock around the world. It’s hard to see how having the states decide the abortion issue and goodies from the government are much of a counterbalance to all of that.
Consider how the media narrative developed and where we go from here. Was it all spontaneous, driven by popular trends from the people, or was it the usual gaslighting that masquerades as ‘news coverage’?
Those of you keeping a close eye on the nation’s socialist media through the site memeorandum (Please be sure to limit your exposure to their toxic collectivism and have plenty of antacids on hand). At the beginning of the month would have noticed that they were all running virtually the same story: Biden suddenly is piling up wins, Biden begins his victory lap, Biden Is on a Roll, Inside Biden’s hot streak. Then the propaganda press started flogging his Inflation Production Act (oops, we meant the Inflation Reduction Act, Orwell would have been so proud) a Victory of Biden, a spring in his step, etc, ad nauseam.
Then suddenly, as if by Marxist magic, a new narrative emerged. Could the collectivists come out on top and vanquish those pesky individualists who just want to live their lives?
If you’ve been following the propaganda organs of our overlord collectivist left party, you know the next part of the story. The ‘bell weather’ election in New York supposedly has everything ‘upended.’ The anti-liberty left doesn’t care if the country is destroyed as long as they can still kill children in the womb.
It was ‘a close-run thing’ as they say, the difference a couple of percentage points, and despite the last poll showing it was a statistical tie, the national propaganda organs took it as a sign that in 2 1/2 months in the future, The Red Wave May Be Down to a Ripple, It was a really good week, But they’re still up against some particularly tough odds and Everything’s Coming Up Brandon! Here’s the link if you want to witness the liberty grabber gloating in all its glory.
So was that a creation of the ever ‘objective’ national media (pause for laughter), it sure seems like they are putting a lot of effort into ramming that story down our throats. An NBC poll indicates a whopping 74 percent of Americans say the country is on the wrong track. While a recent Rasmussen poll shows that the issues most important to American voters haven’t changed all year, as inflation and violent crime remain atop the list. So much for the ‘Brandon on a hot streak’ narrative.
Indications are that propaganda efforts helped them distract from their destruction. But now people are questioning the transfer of wealth from the poor to the well-connected rich, as that is the true redistribution of wealth with socialism.
Hopefully, people can see through the obvious vote-buying scams and realize that if the anti-liberty left isn’t soundly defeated, they will just continue with more destruction of our Constitutional republic.
