Well, it was a good run, but everything has to end, doesn’t it? Even the legends of our youth pass on, fade away, and ride off into the sunset. Ozzy Osbourne is no different.
Ozzy has been a cultural icon and staple of the television and music scene since his introduction with Black Sabbath in the 70s. Ozzy has been responsible for some of the lewdest, lascivious behavior in rock and roll history. He is simply a little unhinged.
Ozzy met his wife Sharon and got married in 1982, literally saving his life as he was spiraling into (more) drugs and (more) destructive behavior. That doesn’t mean he cleaned up his act, rather she kept him from completely going off the cliff.
Ozzy had “retired” numerous times starting with his “No More Tours” tour in 1991. Guess he didn’t mean it. Recently though, Osbourne has decided to pack up and head back across the pond. You’ll never guess the reason. Check this out from Outkick:
Calling the United States “f–king crazy,” rocker Ozzy Osbourne is headed back home to live in England after hitting his breaking point with this country.
Citing gun violence, 73-year-old Osbourne says enough is enough.
Ozzy Osbourne Returning Home to the U.K. From the U.S.: ‘I don’t want to die in America’ https://t.co/zGuGNLPNSx

Well, we have finally done it! We have “outdarked” the Prince of Darkness. America has out-crazied the craziest rocker of our lifetime. Good job America!
Actually, I don’t blame ALL of America. If Ozzy is citing gun violence and how crazy the country has become, we know who to blame, right? Democrats run the country and most of the large cities. Ozzy lives in California, and we all know how that’s going. I’m just surprised it took him this long to make this decision! Thanks, democrats!
“Everything’s f***ing ridiculous there,” Osbourne said in an interview with the U.K. Observer newspaper. “I’m fed up with people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. And there was that mass shooting in Vegas at that concert.”
Ozzy is not wrong, even though I wish he was. It would be easier for me to say “good riddance” if Ozzy were railing against something like Roe V Wade like Green Day lead “man” Billie Joe Armstrong. Osbourne’s concerns are legit, though considering Ozzy’s age and health part of his rationale could be just wanting to go home before he dies, despite Sharon saying otherwise.
Sharon insists this isn’t about Ozzy’s health.
“I knew people would think that. It’s not. It’s just time. America has changed so drastically. It isn’t the United States of America at all. Nothing’s united about it. It’s a very weird place to live right now,” she told the newspaper.”
Sadly, Sharon is also right. The division created by this president and the White House is unprecedented. You can’t blame Ozzy and Sharon for wanting to flee Los Angeles like so many others. Just instead of Texas, Tennessee, or Florida, they are choosing to go back home to England.
I suspect if Ozzy were younger and in better health, he would be lending his voice in an attempt to raise awareness for gun violence like he did in the 90s but considering his reputation for bad deeds, just like in the 90’s no one would listen.
While a part of me wants to say, “don’t let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya,”, Ozzy still is a big part of my youth. I can’t help but wish the Prince of Darkness good health and more long life. I’m sorry the dems ruined America for you, Ozzy, we are trying to fix it. Live long enough for us to fix it and come back anytime!
