Weak Biden Bows to Eco Groups, Blocks Even More Drilling

Remember the good old days? How many times did you hear your parents say that? The good old days they were referring to probably weren’t that good by our standards, but maybe someday our kids will say the same thing. Unfortunately, the good old days they will be talking about will probably be the Trump administration.

Remember Trump? Those were good times. Cheap, abundant energy, a booming economy, and peace the world hasn’t seen in a generation. Guess that wasn’t good enough for some people. Brandon swooped in in 2020 and proceeded to immediately run the train off the tracks.

While America was the world’s leading energy producer under President Trump, Joe Biden has done all he can to undermine our world standing and cripple our economy; all in the name of some green agenda pushing renewable energy that can’t begin to meet our needs, no less the worlds.

Recently Biden put another nail in the coffin of American energy when he bowed to several woke environment groups and canceled massive leasing and drilling projects. It’s going to be a long, cold winter folks. Check this out from Fox News:

The Biden administration entered a legal settlement Tuesday evening with environmental groups, agreeing to block drilling on more than 58,000 acres of public land.

The federal government will refrain from issuing any drilling permits across 113 leases spanning 58,617 acres in Montana, North Dakota, and South Dakota under the settlement between the Department of the Interior (DOI) and the coalition of organizations led by the WildEarth Guardians and Sierra Club. 

This is not good news. Likely the individual state governments agree, as this decision probably will cost the region jobs and revenue. Forgive me if I would like the Sierra Club and Wild Earth Guardians to keep their noses out of the nation’s energy supply. These special interest groups do not have the best interest of the people at heart. #teampeople

Remember this was a President that went to the Middle East, hat in hand begging on bended knee for more oil production from OPEC. How did that work out? It makes no sense to beg someone else for what we already have.

Today’s agreement opens the door for the Biden administration to undo the Trump administration’s recklessness and disregard for the climate and public interest,” Jeremy Nichols, climate and energy program director of the WildEarth Guardians, said in a statement Wednesday. 

“Oil and gas leasing is completely at odds with climate action, we applaud the administration for agreeing to do the right thing,” Nichols said.

I think it is a little misguided to say Trump’s energy policy wasn’t in the public interest. You have people now that have to choose between gas for their car and what bill to pay. When winter comes and people can’t afford to heat their houses, where will these special interest groups be? Likely swimming in cash from whoever was funding their pressure on a weak Biden White House.

During its first 18 months, the Biden administration has leased 71,251 acres of public land for oil and gas drilling while the Trump administration leased 478,420 acres during its first 12 months.

Joe Biden and his far-left green agenda have choked out our energy sector, and people are suffering because of it. We are humans. We burn stuff to live, and we always will. To pretend we can survive from windmills and solar panels is ultimately going to cost lives worldwide sooner rather than later.

This destructive, anti-American White House needs to be replaced before the damage is irreversible. Remember that in November.
