Whatever your thoughts on abortion, we can all agree that it’s a very sensitive, personal topic that should be treated as such, right? Of course, you have your inflammatory nut cases on the far side of both spectrums; the protester holding bloody baby dolls, and the people marching every single day at clinics, but those people don’t represent the majority of Americans and where they fall on the issue. Most of us are somewhere in the middle, and just want a reasonable resolution that most everyone can live with.
Nancy Pelosi just wants to insult you, especially if you fall on a certain side of the debate. Not exactly the best strategy to bring people together and encourage meaningful debate, is it? Of course, what else should we expect from Grandma Vodka Pelosi? When she isn’t busy cashing in on the stock market, or tending to her own business interests in Taiwan, she oversees one of the dirtiest, most dangerous districts in the country, San Francisco’s 12th district. Great job Nance! Did you know that Pelosi is also a budding stand-up comedian? Check this bit of hysterics out via the Blaze:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi cruelly mocked Republicans and pro-life Americans on Wednesday for believing that life begins at conception.
Despite being a Catholic, Pelosi claimed at her weekly press conference that pro-life Republicans believe life begins “at the candlelight dinner the night before.”
Pelosi’s Snide Abortion Remarks are a Reminder of Democrats’ Callous Extremism

Can you hear the rimshot in your head? Funny stuff from someone that claims to be Catholic. How is this type of rhetoric helpful? It’s not. It’s simply Pelosi shilling for cheap points with her base by attacking people who actually think life begins at conception.
I would also be remiss to wonder aloud, when was the last time Nancy had a romantic candlelight dinner? I usually just picture her roaming the streets at night and sucking the life force from unsuspecting homeless people and feral cats. Of course, candlelight would be the only way to sit across the table from Nancy, have you seen her in the light? Check please!
The California Democrat was responding to Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham’s new bill that would institute a national ban on abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy.
“I think what you’re seeing there is a conflict within the Republican Party. There are those in the party that think life begins at the candlelight dinner the night before,” she said to laughter.
Life may not begin at candlelight the night before, but a nice steak and some red wine will certainly help foster the beginning of it. Or in some cases a couple of Bud Light’s and something from the McDonalds dollar menu, but you get my meaning. Whatever you’re into.
I have to wonder what Lindsey Graham is thinking as well, introducing this bill on the run up to the midterms. The timing is atrocious, and the bill is reckless. the Supreme Court directed the issue back to the states, and back to the states is where it needs to go. Graham is only undermining the party in November. Unfortunately, Pelosi realizes this and is pounding the point home with cringe humor.
Wherever you stand on the debate, our elected officials like Pelosi should at least speak of it with some class, grace, and decorum. Nancy missed the mark badly, despite the cheap laughs.
