In yet another embarrassing moment for the Biden Administration, President Slow Joe Biden decided, when giving a speech on the White House lawn this Saturday, to start a “let’s go Brandon” chant.
What happened was, Biden was attempting to discuss the state of the economy and give a speech on how things were going swimmingly in the economic realm. he pointed to the recent bump in the stock market, the relative decrease in gas prices compared to a few months ago, and the fact that the predicted food crisis has, so far, not occurred.
Speaking on that, Biden said:
“Look around, things are great. Places are sold out: they’re doing brisk business, Jack, and that’s a good thing. The stock market’s up, which I know makes all y’all happy. Always good to see those 401ks increase, as they have the past few days. That’s good stuff, Jack!
“Then there’s gas prices. Everywhere you go online, people whine. They say prices are too high, but that’s just a bunch of malarky! Look around at the gas stations: prices are lower than they were a few months ago, and that’s all thanks to me. So I don’t wanna hear any more whining about all that, gas news is good news as far as I’m concerned.
“And ditto that for food, Jack! A few months ago, people said we were all gonna starve. Now things are plentiful, and it’s after harvest time. So we’re all good. No food crisis at all, Jack. More malarky.”
But, though the CNN and Huffington Post reporters present broke into wild applause when he concluded that statement, no one else showed much excitement. All the others just stared blankly at him, wondering if that was really all he had to say about the economy.
It was, but Biden was apparently uncomfortable with the general silence that settled over the crowd of reporters, so he tried to get the crowd going.
Thinking back to what he’d heard excited people yelling on the TV during “his programs” earlier in the day, Biden started chanting “Let’s Go Brandon,” obviously not grasping what it really meant.
The reporters, sensing that the situation would make for a good story and get them some clicks if they went along with it, started chanting “Let’s Go Brandon” as well, with the Secret Service and White House staff joining in, feeling comfortable doing so because Biden started the chant.
All that fun came to a screeching halt when Dr. Jill stomped on stage, berated everyone present for not telling the president to stop making a fool of himself, and then led her senile husband off the stage by his ear.
