Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Rep. Michael Waltz fired a major shot across the bow of Team Biden, saying that Biden’s radical policies and utter incompetence have made it easier for Americans to get a crack pipe from the government than it is to find baby formula.

As you can hear in the video, Rep. Waltz, taking a hammer to Team Biden’s radical policies and highlighting the potentially disastrous baby formula shortage, said:
“I think we need to take a moment and think about the fact that, in Joe Biden’s America, it seems like it is easier to get a crack pipe in a government-funded smoking kit than it is to find baby formula.
“I’m a new father of a four-month-old. And, the other piece, is that this crisis has been brewing for months. Since my four-month-old has been born, I’ve had my entire family, across four states, scouring the shelves looking for formula on which he is dependent to survive.”
That scathing comment follows news on both the crack kits and Team Biden’s insouciance on the baby formula issue.
On the topic of crack pipe kits, it was recently reported that “public health” workers in the Baltimore area were caught handing out free crack pipes in safe smoking kits, something that Biden claimed back in February wasn’t happening.
“We were very clear that crack pipes is where we draw the line.”

While it’s not clear exactly where those crack pipes originated and if the feds were at all involved, it has pushed the crack pipe handout issue back into the news after the February flurry of interest in it.
Then, on the baby formula, current White House press secretary Jen Psaki, when asked “Since you said it was a public health question, which agency should that question be directed to — just the very practical, immediate question of: If you can’t find formula and you need it for your baby to eat, what should they be doing?” said that parents should talk to their doctor, which wasn’t exactly confidence-inspiring. In her words:
We would certainly encourage any parent who has concerns about their child’s health or wellbeing to call their doctor or pediatrician.
That came after Psaki claimed the administration was taking “every step [it] can” to deal with the issue, saying:
Well, I would say those are important public health questions. But what I can report on here, or what I can convey to all of you, is what we’re doing to address exactly that concern, which is taking every step we can to ensure there is supply on store shelves, and we have increased the supply over the last four weeks.
And as the President — as I noted at the top of this briefing, we’re going to take every step we can to cut red tape, to ensure we’re working with retailers like Walmart and CEOs, that we’re working with Reckitt and Gerber and others who can produce more to ensure we are getting supply out to stores and out to retailers so that parents don’t have that concern.
Though that response was better than “call your doctor”, it still isn’t actionable for the parents desperately searching for formula with which they can feed their infants, which has angered many Americans.
