Amazon Workers Beg Company To Stop Doing Business In Pro-Life States

Back in the 1990’s I can remember being taught and tested on what the customer-centered corporation I was working for, considered to be their profit chain.

Its overall premise was: Happy employees, provide great customer service, creating happy customers, who become long-term shoppers, resulting in higher corporate profits.

Fast forward to the 21st century, with the emergence of an increasing push from a global reset, the word equity has been highjacked for social justice purposes.

Instead of describing what percentage a stockholder or business owner has in a company’s total value, or the extra value a homeowner has compared to the debt they have attached to it, the word is now being used in the justification of deconstructing capitalism, for Marxism.

Equity is now a “woke” term that states everyone is a “stakeholder” in the economy and community.  Thus, everyone must have a say in some of the business activities of corporations, everyone should have the same economic opportunities, access to fresh drinking water, input on climate decisions, etc.

With this definition in mind, Amazon’s employees, as stakeholders of the massive distribution and tech company, recently demanded that Amazon’s web hosting company, AWS, kick the social media platform Parler of their image hosting servers.

Why, because there were former President Trump and MAGA supporters utilizing the App too.

In a sign of the times, the management acquiesced to their woke employees’ demands, removing Parler, costing the company millions of dollars in future revenue.

Well, here they go again.

Amazon employees, this time of “all genders” are requesting time off to mourn the end of Roe v. Wade and are demanding that the company cease operations in pro-life states.

Yes, they want Amazon to stop doing business in up to half of the states in the union, over abortion.

Last month, Amazon joined in with dozens of other companies announcing it would cover as much as $4,000 in expenses for employees traveling across state lines to get an abortion. Following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe, several additional nationally known corporations also followed suit.

The never-satisfied snowflake mob at Amazon is still not satisfied.

In an open letter, a copy of which was obtained by the popular social media page, Libs of TikTok, hundreds of Amazon employees are also demanding more action over the loss of their “basic human rights.”

“As part of Amazon’s wide-reaching efforts toward a more inclusive and diverse workforce, we believe that Amazon cannot let this recent decision go unanswered,” the letter said. “We ask Amazon, the world’s best employer, to actively defend against this assault on our liberty.”

Among other actions, the authors are requesting that Amazon, “allow employees of all genders the space and time to grieve, express their frustrations, and protest against this assault on our rights.”

In addition, they want the company to “donate and match donations to bail funds” to help “women and pregnant people” seeking abortions in states with protections for pre-born babies.

But wait the Amazon employees want even more.

They want the company to also “expand remote work options” for those who relocate in response to the decision. So, if someone lives in a state that is now outlawing abortion, those who decide to move to a blue state, in which there is no Amazon location available to work, the mob wants the company to allow these employees to work from home remotely.

They also want the ability to censor the company’s books, music, audio tapes, etc. This includes, “audit and remove product offerings” that “misrepresent” abortion and “encourage hate speech or violence” toward abortion seekers and stop donating to political groups that oppose abortion.

I am not sure what misrepresenting an abortion is, it’s pretty straightforward. A typically healthy baby is killed by a medical doctor in the womb, then extracted, and their remains are often sold for medical research.

The letter also calls for Amazon to “cease operations in states” with pro-life laws. Indeed, several states have introduced various penalties for those who carry out abortions, even as other states are attempting to strengthen their abortion laws and become “safe havens” for women seeking the procedure.

The letter’s authors actually acknowledge that some of their suggested actions include substantial “business risk” but argue that “these are unprecedented times.”

“Given the attacks on our democracy, and the continued deterioration of our rights, we believe the time to act is now,” the employees concluded.

When considering the enormous amount of business Amazon does in states like Texas and Florida, these snowflakes should not plan on getting their main demands met this time.

To show the breadth of the infrastructure the company has in place in a few of these states, Amazon is employing 95,000 workers in Texas and they have another 59,000 Amazon employees in the sunshine state of Florida.

If Amazon’s management folds this time, its stockholders would sue the board of directors for not fulfilling their fiduciary responsibility in making decisions that would maximize the company’s profits.
