There has always been some tension between the generations.
The grandparents, and parents, who have typically reached maturity in their lives are challenged by their children/grandchildren as they try to guide them onto straight and more fulfilling paths.
The older family members who already made thousands of mistakes, from small to huge, desperately want to pass on the wisdom learned as a result of going through them.
The youth, from as far back as Cain, are convinced they know better. When they resist the instruction from their elders, being driven by their emotions, they start making the same mistakes anyway.
In another video, which is beyond nauseating to me, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) took to Instagram Friday telling her followers that she will be getting a manicure as a form of “resistance” in the wake of the recent Supreme Court ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade.
In reality, she was going to get her nails done anyway, but hey, why not be a virtue-signaling champion along the way.
Ocasio-Cortez, aka AOC, explained that “personal acts of reclamation” can serve as personal forms of political protest even though people may feel powerless in light of the recent Supreme Court ruling ending ROE, according to a tweet that she reposted

Wishing followers a happy Friday, Ocasio-Cortez stated that “Joy too can be an act of resistance.”
“I want to talk about personal acts of reclamation because sometimes people will say there’s nothing I can do…I feel so powerless… And there is no act too small that you can engage in,” the Representative reminded her followers.
“Today, I have a personal errand: I need to redo my nails. And I’ve decided that I am going to use my new manicure as almost like a personal act of reclamation for me and my story,” AOC bragged.
In her follow-up video, the virtue-signaling activist implies that she is rebelling against the “very religious environment” she was raised up in. She further explains that her free expression was suppressed by her parents as she was not allowed to paint her nails because it could have branded her as a “loose” woman.
“It was very socially conservative, again, like, to the point where I couldn’t really even paint my nails red until I pretty much graduated and left the house because there was just a lot of discussion about how red nails, red lipstick — it just portrays a kind of a message about the kind of woman that you are. And I think a lot of times, that kind of woman, which is ungovernable, it often gets translated to ‘loose’ — is seen as bad or negative,” she said.

This isn’t the first time AOC put herself out in the public square, trying to be a modern-day, social justice activist, a modern-day “woke” civil rights leader.
She also recently urged protestors to take to the streets during a protest outside of the Supreme Court.
On her television appearance with Stephen Colbert, the attention-seeking young politician insisted that the executive and legislative branches must keep the Supreme Court “in check”
Enough already Cortez, how about you focus on learning your job, as an overpaid U.S. House member, so you can actually ask intelligent questions during hearings and maybe actually write and be the sponsor of legislation that will benefit all your constituents?
