Filmmaker Nick Searcy embarked on a noble crusade against what he called the Joe Biden Occupation in recent remarks against the corrupt POTUS.
“Tell you what,” Searcy’s opening began, “when the @joebiden Occupation releases the Jan. 6th political prisoners who have been held in a DC gulag for 18 months without bail, maybe then I’ll give a damn about some basketball player who hates America who is in jail in Russia because of her drug habit.”

While any American administration should try bringing citizens home, even in the case of someone like Brittney Griner who knowingly – and capriciously – violated another country’s laws, the real scandal is that Griner both vocally detests her home country and, as Searcy observed, there are far more corrupt imprisonments than Griner’s lawful detention inside Russia.
If Brittney Griner deserves to come home, then every last inmate in the DC system deserves to be released as well.
Western Journal noted that Searcy has long been advocating for the release and fair treatment of America’s forgotten and scorned class of domestic political prisoners.
“Last year, Searcy teamed up with filmmaker Chris Burgard for a documentary called “Capitol Punishment.”
In the documentary, Cowboys for Trump founder Couy Griffin detailed the treatment he received following the Capitol incursion on Jan. 6, 2021.
“They put me in a cell by myself, total solitary confinement, in a cell not much bigger than a walk-in closet,” Griffin said in the film. He remembered being called an “effing white cracker” on multiple occasions.”
Western Journal went on to write that:
“They have been beaten by the guards. They are called white supremacist,” Greene said, according to the Post Millennial. “They are denied religious services, haircuts, shaving, the ability to trim their fingernails.”
Brittney Griner last week plead guilty to the charges against her, which stem from a February arrest at Moscow’s airport. She was said to have been found with cannabis products on her person.
After the plea was made, Fox News reported on the likely next steps by the Russian system.
“Rebekah Koffler, a Russian-born former U.S. intelligence officer and expert on Russia and Vladimir Putin, told Fox News Digital on Wednesday that it would be unlikely for Putin to grant Griner clemency in such a highly charged case and her detention would more than likely be used as a bargaining chip for a prison swap or more.
“Putin and the Kremlin want to exchange Brittney Griner for Viktor Bout, the ‘Merchant of Death,’ no one else. They will drag on the entire process, including appeal, simply as a negotiating tool to get what they want out of the Biden administration,” she explained
“Bottom line, Putin will use Ms. Griner for his negotiating leverage in a prisoner swap case or something else. The more news this case makes here in the U.S., stirring emotions, the deeper the Russians will dig in their heels, demanding exchange for Bout or some other concessions. They know our hot buttons.””
