President Biden during his most recent statement, shocked the world when he stated he has cancer.
Biden was giving a speech about global warming in which he announced pollutants from oil refineries near his hometown in Claymont, Delaware caused him and many other people in Delaware to have cancer.
Biden’s exact quote was “That’s why I and so damn many other people I grew up with have cancer,” explaining why Delaware had the highest cancer rate in the nation for the longest time. “That’s why Delaware had the highest cancer rate in the nation.”

A representative for the White House named Andrew Bates directed attention to a tweet written by a columnist for The Washington Post named Glenn Kessler. In the tweet, Kessler mentioned that Biden had non-melanoma skin tumors removed before taking office.
It is not obvious why Biden decided to characterize his experience with cancer using the present continuous tense of the verb.
Cancer of the skin is exceedingly frequent, particularly among older persons who did not use sunscreen when they were younger. Fortunately, most cases of skin cancer do not pose a threat to the patient’s life.
In a health report that was released the previous year, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, who is Vice President Biden’s personal physician, did not mention that the vice president was battling any active cancers.
According to the findings of O’Connor’s research, Biden’s skin cancer was caused by time spent in the sun, and not by exposure to chemicals used by the oil sector.
O’Connor remarked about one of his patients, a man who had previously worked as a lifeguard at a swimming pool, and it’s true that President Biden did end up spending a lot of time in the sun in his childhood.
Before he became president, he underwent Mohs surgery to remove a number of non-melanoma skin tumors that were localized to certain areas of his body. “These tumors were totally removed, leaving clear margins,” the attending physician stated further.

O’Connor did add, however, that “there are not any places that are suspect for skin cancer at this moment.”
Skin disorders may become more severe when exposed to air pollution. However, it is unknown whether or not Biden has ever before linked oil refiners to his skin growths, and it is also unknown whether or not medical specialists have drawn that connection.
Biden, who is 79 years old, is the oldest person to ever hold the office of president in the United States, and his mental status is frequently the subject of debate in the public sphere.
His defenders point out that he has suffered for years with gaffes or false remarks, but he has stated that he intends to seek a second term if his health allows it.
The major question was never answered by the White House though. Why did Biden not speak in the past tense but instead spoke in the present tense?
