Recently, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced the arrest of 20 election criminals in his state, cracking down on election fraud.
According to a statement issued by his staff, “Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced that following investigations by the Florida Office of Election Crimes and Security and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), 20 individuals are being arrested by FDLE for breaking Florida’s elections laws. All 20 of these individuals were disqualified from voting after they were convicted of murder or a felony sexual offense, but they chose to vote anyway, and now they have all been charged with voter fraud — a third-degree felony punishable by up to a $5,000 fine and up to 5 years in prison.”
DeSantis further stated, “In 2020, Florida ran an efficient, transparent election that avoided the major problems we saw in other states. At the same time, the election was not perfect, which is why we continue our efforts to ensure the integrity of our elections….Our new election crimes office has sprung into action to hold individuals accountable for voter fraud. Today’s actions send a clear signal to those who are thinking about ballot harvesting or fraudulently voting. If you commit an elections crime, you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
This follows action taken earlier this year where DeSantis signed a bill into law creating an entire police unit solely dedicated to dealing with election crimes.
According to a report from the Daily Wire, “Florida Senate Bill 524 requires the state’s voter rolls to be annually reviewed and updated to remove ineligible voters, tightens voter ID requirements, and increases penalties for some election-related crimes. Most notably, it establishes the Office of Election Crimes and Security within the Department of State, which investigates election law violations. The bill also instructs the Secretary of State to submit a report and draft legislation for any further action to strengthen voter ID requirements.”
“Twenty years ago, nobody thought Florida was a prime example of how to conduct elections, but we have become a national leader by running the most secure elections in the country, DeSantis said.
Gov. Ron DeSantis has also criticized many alleged election issues that need to be dealt with such as ballot harvesting, drop boxes and mass mailing of ballots, and “Zuckerbucks” where private individuals, such as Mark Zuckerberg, contribute millions of dollars to state election supervisors.
DeSantis is a true patriot and the leading example of how other state officials should be governing their states.
He has passed a myriad of conservative policies for his state such as the Parental Rights Education Bill protecting children from woke indoctrination, embarked on a redistricting plan to benefit Florida Republicans, banned critical race theory in schools, taken on Disney ending their special tax district for their involvement in Florida politics, and many more.
The Governor’s actions have outraged the left, but that means you’re doing something right!
Conservatives need to be on the offensive, attacking the woke left by enacting policies such as the ones listed above, especially in local politics where the most direct influence is.
