Capitalizing on the dumbing down of American youth, the Democrats certainly have a way with young folk. They can appeal to all of the emotions of youth and ignore all of the hard-fact realities that complicate easy slogans suggesting white supremacy can be battled by being racist in the other direction or that the planet can be saved by becoming increasingly impoverished.
Joe Biden decided to message this latter point during his trip to Detroit and an electric car show. Sitting in one glamorous – and outrageously expensive battery-powered car – after another, the president continued his tone-deaf tour while the economy sinks and inflation wipes out everyone’s purchasing power.
As if that weren’t bad enough, Biden received an interview from a young TikTok “celebrity” while sitting in one such vehicle. Watch as Biden further humiliates himself and this country:

Tiktokker: Hey excuse me, your car’s awesome, what do you do for a living?
Biden: Well, I’m married to Jill Biden, and I make sure we’re making a lot more electric vehicles in America.
TikTokker: That’s amazing, what kind of car is this?
Biden: It’s a Cadillac.
Tiktokker: Ok. And an electric vehicle at that.
Biden: That’s exactly right. And it’s quick.
Tiktokker: That’s awesome, well thank you so much.
Biden: If you want to get in the back you can come ride with me. But I’m going all the way to Washington here.
Tiktokker: Thank you so much, I appreciate it.
Yikes. Tragically, this video isn’t unique in the sense of the White House collaborating with so-called social media influencers. Last summer, perhaps the most viral video to come out of such a move appeared online featuring Jen Psaki and TikTok personality Benny Drama, posing as a White House intern named Kooper.
It was bad then, and it’s still bad. Here’s the video again:

This effort followed an earlier push by the Biden administration to appeal to young people to get vaccinated by promulgating messages from other influencers. It was reported at the time that the White House invited a whole host of young online “celebrities” and worked with them on how to spread the “get vaccinated” message. The New York Post wrote about one conversation in particular at the time:
It is the White House’s latest attempt to appeal to younger generations after Psaki also invited Rodrigo — an 18-year-old pop sensation — to the podium during a press briefing last month to talk about vaccines.
“First I want to say I am beyond honored and humbled to be here today to help spread the message about the importance of COVID vaccinations,” Rodrigo said at the time.
“I am in awe of the work that President Biden and Dr. Fauci have done and I am happy to help them by supporting this important initiative.”
