Pelosi Tells Olympic Athletes To Stay Silent About The CCP

The far-left are attempting to censor Americans every chance they get, and now House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is even commanding America’s top Olympic athletes to not speak out against China’s human rights abuses.

Before the Congressional-Executive Commission on China, the 81-year-old lawmaker offered lip service that China should have never been considered to host the Olympics, but then turned around and stated that US athletes should remain silent on the CCP’s human rights violations for their own safety.

If politicians like Pelosi are silent on key issues, then it leaves athletes no choice to speak out against Communist China.

According to the Washington Examiner, Pelosi was quoted saying:

“I would say to our athletes: You’re there to compete. Do not risk incurring the anger of the Chinese government because they are ruthless,” Pelosi said. “I know there is a temptation on the part of some to speak out while they are there. I respect that, but I also worry about what the Chinese government might do to their reputations and to their families.”

When it comes to other issues, such as police reform or officer-involved shootings, Democrats parade athletes who support organizations such as BLM as if they are going to be the next president, but when it comes to athletes speaking out against Communist China, Democrats will silence them.

Just imagine if Pelosi was to tell NBA or NFL players that they should be silent on officer-involved shootings, the far-left would explode and deem Pelosi as racist.

In a separate report, the FBI has warned all American Olympic athletes that they should leave their personnel phones at home and take a phone that has no personnel data with them to Beijing. China has been known in the past to create malicious software that is able to extract data from cell phones. Last year, Republican Senator Tom Cotton warned the Biden admin that the CCP will attempt to collect DNA samples from American athletes.

The Hill reported Cotton’s concerns:

“In 2022, thousands of world-class athletes will gather to compete in China. Their DNA will present an irresistible target for the [Chinese Communist Party],” Cotton wrote. “Thus, we should expect that the Chinese government will attempt to collect genetic samples of Olympians at the Games, perhaps disguised as testing for illegal drugs or COVID-19.”

Although Cotton and other lawmakers were calling for the Olympics to be boycotted, American athletes are still participating in the games. However, no US diplomats will attend the games which have raised some tensions between China and the US.

China has been under scrutiny for major human rights violations and the main one is for CCP committing genocide against Uyghur Muslims, Tibetans, Christians, and other ethnic minorities. A UN fact-finding report discovered that the CCP has even harvested organs from Uyghur prisoners.

In some cases, many of the ethnic and religious minorities are having their organs removed while they are still alive. However, none of this matters to Pelosi because she’s been a behind-the-scenes supporter of the CCP for many years now.
