It is confirmed, technology is advancing faster than many of us could have ever imagined.
In what has been predicted in many sci-movie movies, to millions of moviegoers on the big screen, technology is not a friend of humanity, and probably will be part of its collective downfall in the near future.
A huge overreaction by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government, which is still publically seething against those involved or who supported the Canadian “Freedom Convoy”, is being reported by concerned Canadian citizens.
The government, which is targeting those whom they claim illegally brought the country to a standstill over their draconian and intrusive COVID mask and vaccines mandates, just wrote new legislation which on paper appears to be flat-out dangerous.
In what has been coined “pre-crimes” legislation is actually making its way through the Canadian Parliament which would allow for citizens to be taken to court and penalized if they are suspected of simply intending to post “hate speech” online.
The proposed law encourages Canadians to report other Canadians to the authorities for intent to post hate speech online and allows courts to punish Canadian citizens for things they haven’t done yet.

The proposed law was noticed by Substack VP Lulu Cheng Meservey, a citizen of Canada, who drew attention to the bill’s “alarming” aspects.
Alarming aspects, in ascending order:
1) Fuzzy and circular definition of “hateful” speech (“involves detestation…stronger than dislike”)
2) Encouraging citizens to report on one another — creepy
3) The ability to punish people for something they haven’t actually done yet (!)

Under the proposed law, provincial courts may add penalties that they consider “desirable to secure the good conduct of the defendant,” including having the defendant wear an electronic monitoring device, confining them to their home or place of residence at set times, and prohibiting them from consuming alcohol.
If a Canadian citizen “fears on reasonable grounds that another person will commit” hate speech online, or “an offense motivated by bias, prejudice or hate based on race, national or ethnic origin, language, color, religion, sex, age, mental or physical disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other similar factor,” they may lay the information before a Canadian court.
The bill would in effect criminalize most of the posts on social media, using any device, by continuing to add what is deemed as hate speech.
This bill defines online hate speech as “a discriminatory practice to communicate or cause to be communicated hate speech by means of the Internet or other means of telecommunication in a context in which the hate speech is likely to foment detestation or vilification of an individual or group of individuals on the basis of a prohibited ground of discrimination.”
The bill has not yet passed into law, but it has the backing of the Canadian government led by their fascist Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Where does this end, no one knows?
I personally don’t think being concerned about a system run by Artificial Intelligence, which uses data provided by big tech and the federal government with agents to patrol and arrest pre-crime criminals, is a far-fetched idea any longer.
