Many in America are sick and tired of Disney’s faux outrage over the parental rights bill in Florida, a bill that does little more than stop teachers of young children from talking to them about sex. Such a bill sounds reasonable to many, many people. In fact, over 60% of Americans support it, as the Daily Wire reported, saying:
Nearly two-thirds of Americans support the key features of Florida’s H.B. 1557 “Parental Rights in Education” proposal (dubbed by Democrats as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill), according to a new poll released on Monday by The Daily Wire.
The national poll of U.S. adults was conducted over the weekend by market research technology platform Lucid on behalf of The Daily Wire. The survey’s 1,000 person sample was 37% Democrat, 32% Republican, and 31% Independent. Consistent with the official 2020 popular vote totals, the poll showed a +4 point advantage for President Joe Biden in the 2020 ballot among the respondents who said they voted in the election.
That’s probably why consumers are pushing back against Disney’s woke messaging, demanding it leave kids alone and return to producing good content rather than using Mickey Mouse and masculine princesses to indoctrinate kids.
Well, it’s not just average Americans that are ripping into Disney over its faux outrage, creepy obsession with promoting sex stuff to kids, and refusal to just make fun to watch content. Senator Tom Cotton is sick and tired of it all too. He, in a brilliant tweet, said:
“Disney is a charter member of the China lobby, so its liberal corporate executives can spare us the moral outrage about protecting our kids from indoctrination. Walt Disney must be rolling over in his grave at the clowns running his company.”

Adding to that, Cotton also said:
Disney publicly thanked the Chinese Communist Party officials running concentration camps in Xinjiang. And now Disney is lecturing parents about what’s appropriate to teach kindergarteners? What a joke.

Cotton’s point is an excellent one. Why does Disney, a company that markets to and does business in the genocidal state of Red China, feel qualified to express moral outrage over anything? It filmed scenes of Mulan in Xinjiang, the area of China where the communists are waging a campaign of genocide against the Uighurs. Perhaps it should take the log out of its own eye before going off on DeSantis for protecting the minds of young children.
In slamming China for working with China while attacking Florida, Senator Cotton was echoing Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who recently slammed the company on much the same grounds, saying:
“People asked me kind of about their posture on the bill, and I said, you know what? If we would have put in the bill that you were not allowed to have curriculum that discussed the oppression of the Uyghurs in China, Disney would have endorsed that in a second.”
Bingo. Woke Disney needs to be held accountable for its hypocrisy and lies, particularly when it comes to the China issue.
