Hilarious: El Salvador’s President Mocks Biden, Praises Trump

Nayib Bukele is the president of El Salvador and seems to be one of the few world leaders with a  clear grasp of what’s going on and how to deal with it. Whereas others prattle on about the topic de jure and keep doing what hasn’t worked for decades, Bukele is forward-thinking and strong in spirit, able to take huge steps and make controversial moves to secure his country’s future.

He’s most known, perhaps, for his adoption of Bitcoin as a national currency. Though the “experts” wring their hands and clutch their pearls about his Bitcoin adoption, it’s hard to argue with the idea when inflation in the US is hitting ever-higher highs.

But, while the Bitcoin thing is his best-known project, he’s also been one of the few leaders in the region to actually confront the gang problem and do so successfully. Under Bukele El Salvador has launched a “totalitarian crackdown” on gangs, arresting thousands upon thousands of gang members rather than let thugs like those in MS-13 continue to run the country.

Predictably, the weak-kneed leaders and NGOs of the West have freaked out, claiming that his crackdown on the gangs that were terrorizing El Salvadoreans is a “human rights abuse.” Funny how they don’t worry about those who were extorted, raped, or butchered by the gangs, but only the gang members now that someone is dealing with them.

So, it must have been a surprise to Bukele when he saw Ned Price, a US government official, post a tweet saying that:

The U.S. government continues to support El Salvador in its efforts to reduce the proliferation of gangs. We urge El Salvador to protect its citizens while also upholding civil liberties, including freedom of the press.

Included in the tweet was a statement saying:

The United States government is concerned about violence in El Salvador and the passage and implementation of the April 5 Criminal Code amendment by the Legislative Assembly criminalizing reporting on certain gang activities. The law lends itself to attempts to censor the media, prevent reporting on corruption and other matters of public interest, and silence critics of the Salvadoran government.

Journalists must have the freedom to do their jobs without fear of violence, threats, or unjust detention.

We continue to support El Salvador in its efforts to reduce the proliferation of gangs. Since 2008, we have invested $411 million to improve citizen security and help the Salvadoran government combat gang violence. Examples include the construction of a state-of-the-art forensics lab in Nuevo Cuscatlan, and assistance to reclaim and renovate public spaces such as Parque Cuscatlan.

[…]Gangs pose a threat to the national security of El Salvador and the United States. We urge El Salvador to address this threat while also protecting vital civil liberties, including freedom of the press, due process, and freedom of speech.

In other words, they want Bukele to deal with the savage gangs without getting his hands dirty, as if that’s possible.

Rather than moan about how he’s not being given a fair treatment by the West, he went straight on the offensive in a tweet response, saying:

“The U.S. government continues to support El Salvador to reduce the proliferation of gangs”. Really?

Yes, we got support from the U.S. government to fight crime, but the was UNDER THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION.

You are only supporting the gangs and their “civil liberties” now.

Boom. That’s how you deal with weaklings like those in Team Biden.
