The Suspicious Connection Between Hunter Biden, China, and a Hunger Charity

The World Food Program USA, or WFP USA for short, is an American nonprofit that is dedicated to raising funds for the UN’s World Food Program, an organization meant to fight hunger. As the charity describes itself on its website:

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has been on the frontlines of the world’s worst hunger crises, fighting hunger and famine since 1962. Right now we’re taking on our largest scale-up ever in response to COVID-19, providing lifesaving meals to 109 million of the world’s most vulnerable people in more than 80 countries this year.

Sounds like a worthy cause, at first, except that it’s connected to the less than useless United Nations.

But who happened to be running WFP USA in 2015, just a year before the end of Obama’s presidency and Slow Joe’s tenure as VP? Hunter Biden. And who happened to want to make a major donation to WFP USA in 2015? CEFC, a business that Hunter did a good bit of “business” with. As Just the News reports on that connection between CEFC, Hunter Biden, and WFP USA:

But soon, memos gathered by the FBI show, the charitable discussions evolved into an expanding relationship between Hunter Biden and Chinese energy giant CEFC to include business deals that would eventually reap the Biden family millions of dollars

CEFC China is very interested in exploring humanitarian initiatives of mutual interest to the World Food Program USA and discussing investment opportunities with Burnham,” an email received and then forwarded by Hunter Biden in October 2015 stated. Burnham was one of the many firms through which Hunter Biden and his partners like Devon Archer scored large investments.

Ah, a donation and “investment opportunities.” Now, what was CEFC doing donating to an American-based food charity? Why not just donate to a Chinese charity, particularly given that these sorts of charities and the level of funding for globalist humanitarian priorities they can provide are seen by some as a measure of national prestige?

Because it wasn’t about providing food aid to whatever starving country the UN was focused on at the time, obviously. It was about deepening connections to Hunter Biden and the Biden family. It was a classic influence op, pure and simple. Former FBI Assistant Director for Intelligence Kevin Brock explained as much, saying:

First, you have to understand that China does not donate to American-led charities because they are altruistic. And Chinese intelligence operatives like Christine Fang don’t cozy up to Rep. Eric Swalwell because he’s a fun guy to be around.  Chinese intelligence does what it does in order to steal information and influence American policymakers.

“Things like offers for all-expense-paid trips to Beijing and inordinate amounts of money in exchange for ill-defined things like consulting services or academic papers are hallmarks of CCP intelligence operations. Their methods are subtle and patient, they aim to dirty your hands and make it difficult [to] break free over time.  We don’t know if Hunter Biden provided information useful to the CCP or even if he registered as a foreign agent as required by law. The FBI hopefully will determine that.  But it looks clearer every day that he was targeted by Chinese intelligence and it’s not illogical to presume they did so because of his access to high-ranking U.S. officials.

In other words, CEFC was funding WFC USA to influence Hunter and see what info or connections they could squeeze out of him and it probably worked, particularly given the business dealings that Hunter’s business and CEFC later had.
