It’s a day that ends in y, so Rep. Ilhan Omar, the immigrant-turned-congresswoman who uses her citizenship and position to routinely attack the country she fled to from Somalia and its values, is criticizing Americans for acting as their forefathers did.
Specifically, Ilhan tweeted out a video of Christians on an airliner praying for Easter, saying:
“I think my family and I should have a prayer session next time I am on a plane. How do you think it will end?”

Quickly responding Ilhan and slamming her for her anti-Christian stance, Georgia Rep. Vernon Jones said:
Why do you hate Christians, Ilhan? If the freedom of religion we enjoy here in America disturbs you, feel free to pack your bags and head back to Somalia, Sudan, or wherever you’re from. Take your brother with you.

Another Republican candidate, Jose Castillo, tweeted “In America, Muslims can & do pray in public. If she wants a country where Christians aren’t allowed to do the same [Omar] should go back to her own country,” referring to the deeply Muslim nation of Somalia, which is where Ilhan is from.
Yet another Repulican, Cicely Davis, tweeted “Qatar – a country you’re very familiar with – plays Islamic prayers on the intercom before takeoff on their planes. They have a designated prayer area & coordinates for Mecca are posted on the screens. It’s no problem. The issue is you hate Christians & Jews & lots of Muslims.”
The “take your brother with you” line in Vernon Jones’ tweet is a reference to the longstanding rumor that Ilhan Omar married her brother, an allegation which PolitiFact quoted Kevin Diaz, political editor of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, as saying:
You see circumstantial evidence that begs for some kind of explanation from a member of Congress, but there’s no smoking gun that she married her brother.
The same PolitiFact article noted that “In a June 23 article, the Star-Tribune wrote that it “could neither conclusively confirm nor rebut the allegation that he is Omar’s sibling.” That echoed the conclusion by Snopes.com in February 2019, that “the evidence uncovered thus far isn’t definitive enough to come down on one side or the other.” PolitiFact was unable to reach a conclusion during the 2018 election cycle.”
So maybe it’s true, maybe it isn’t. The Daily Mail, for its part, reported on a DNA test conducted for Ilhan and the man who some contend is her brother, saying:
Persistent claims that leftist congresswoman Ilhan Omar married her own brother to get around US immigration laws may be legitimized by what appears to be a conclusive DNA test.
The results of the test assert that there is a 99.999998% chance that Omar and her second husband Ahmed Elmi are siblings.
The report, drawn up by Endeavor DNA Laboratories does not name either Omar or Elmi, instead referring to them as ‘Sibling 1’ and ‘Sibling 2.’ DailyMail.com understands that Omar is Sibling 1.
