Trump in Control: Endorsement of JD Vance Puts Vance in the Lead

Want proof that the RINOs are wrong and that whatever hopes they place in Pence or someone similar taking back the GOP from the MAGA movement are something less than well-founded?

Well, you could just look at Pence and the little support he gets compared to Trump or DeSantis. But, beyond that, evidence that the GOP is still Trump’s to command comes from Ohio, where his support of Senate candidate JD Vance just pushed Vance into the lead. Politico, reporting on that, notes that:

He was lagging in the polls. His cash was running low. With the state’s primary fast approaching, J.D. Vance’s chances of winning the Ohio GOP Senate nomination didn’t look promising.

But his fortunes have changed dramatically in just the last week since Donald Trump delivered his endorsement, an intervention that has upended one of the most contentious Republican primaries in the nation.

In fact, the Trump endorsement proved so helpful to Vance that, he went from having nearly burned through his campaign funds to having received nearly $5 million in donations shortly after the Trump endorsement. Again according to the report in Politico:

More than $5 million in new donations have poured into a pro-Vance super PAC — just weeks earlier, it had spent nearly all of its available funds. Vance, the author of the book “Hillbilly Elegy,” has taken the lead in polling for the first time since entering the crowded Republican primary in July.

And it’s not just money that Vance has received thanks to Trump’s endorsement. The two also appeared at a Trump rally in Ohio together and were met by chants and cheers of “JD”:

Trump’s endorsement was likely so beneficial to Vance because of how positive it was and the note of urgency within it. As a reminder, Trump said:

This is not an easy endorsement for me to make because I like and respect some of the other candidates in the race — they’ve said great things about “Trump” and, like me, they love Ohio and love our Country. I’ve studied this race closely and I think J.D. is the most likely to take out the weak, but dangerous, Democrat opponent — dangerous because they will have so much money to spend. 

However, J.D. will destroy him in the debates and will fight for the MAGA Movement in the Senate. He’s strong on the Border, tough on Crime, understands how to use Taxes and Tariffs to hold China accountable, will fight to break up Big Tech, and has been a warrior on the Rigged and Stolen Presidential Election. J.D. is a Marine who served in the Iraq War, a graduate of The Ohio State University, and earned a Law Degree from Yale — a great student. With J.D. Vance, Ohio gets both brains and brawn. Ohio has been good to me, I won it twice, really BIG, and I have likewise been GREAT for Ohio. Let’s keep it going! 

Further, it also likely hit home because Vance does speak and sound like a MAGA candidate. For example, during the rally in which the crowd cheered for him after Trump endorsed him, Vance said, when speaking about why he supports Trump and the MAGA agenda:

“The first [reason] is all the policies we love — the fact that he fought back against the Chinese for the first time in my life, the fact that he actually cut taxes, the fact that he was the most pro-life president of the past 50 years, but ladies and gentlemen, the thing that Trump revealed more than any other policy achievement is that we are living in an incredibly corrupt country.

“Who would have believed that the Federal Bureau of Investigation — our FBI — would have gotten an illegal wiretap on a U.S. president? Who would have believed that the January 6th protesters — many of whom are not even accused of a violent crime — would still be rotting in prison without an ounce of due process which is required under our Constitution?”

“Ladies and gentlemen, I am sick of it. I’m sick of not living in a country that makes its own stuff that relies on the Communist Chinese to make the things that we need. I’m sick of knowing that our own FBI is more concerned about arresting American citizens than it is about stopping the drug and sex trafficking across our Southern border.

“I’m sick of the Big Tech companies censoring conservatives, shutting us up, and let’s be honest ladies and gentlemen, stealing the 2020 election!”

Whatever Vance might have said about Trump in the past, that’s a MAGA speech, one that ties in well with the Trump endorsement and shows that both Trump and the crowd’s faith in him is well-founded.

It’s still the MAGA party, whatever the RINOs and Conservative, Inc. weaklings claim.
