Twitter and Turning Point USA personality Drew Hernandez recently shared a video on his Twitter account that shows an absolutely sickening display of race-based violence, of blacks beating a Hispanic woman to a pulp for daring to wear a certain hairstyle. Or, as he put it:
INSANE: Black youths beat the hell out of a Hispanic woman in Boston because she had “braids” and said she couldn’t wear the hairstyle because she’s “not black”

Just to begin with, the “logic”, if whatever comes our of their feeble minds can be called that, of the “youths” is ridiculous, as braids aren’t even a “black” hairstyle. Ever heard of French braids? I don’t think those came from some French holding in Mali.
Regardless, even if braids were a black hairstyle the assault would be sickening, as America’s supposed to be a melting pot where different cultures and peoples mix to the degree they’re able, not where people are viciously assaulted on the side of the road for wearing their hair in a certain manner.
NBC Boston largely confirmed how Hernandez depicted the attack in its report on the subject, saying:
A group of teenagers are facing charges after allegedly attacking a woman for wearing her hair in braids, the latest in a spate of attacks in Downtown Crossing.
In the most recent incident, a women said she was confronted by 10 to 15 teenagers shortly before 7 p.m. Monday in the area of Winter and Washington Streets.
When police arrived on scene, they found a group of about 20 teenagers in the area. The victim said she was kicked and punched by the group, who called her a “white *expletive* with braids.”
Masslive confirms that too and adds that she tried retreating before being so viciously attacked by the black youths, saying:
The woman told police that she had been standing at the intersection when a group of girls approached her, calling her a “white b—- with braids,” the report states.
She told the girls she identified as Hispanic and started to walk away, but the woman said a girl came up and pulled her hair and then the group began to punch and kick her.
The victim, attacked simply for wearing braids, had to be transported to Massachusetts General Hospital to be treated after the attack.
Fortunately, however, the responding police officers did their jobs and arrested the gang of youths, which was so out of control as to violently attack the police officers arresting them; Masslive reports that one “male juvenile spit at an officer while he was being placed under arrest” and that “Another female suspect allegedly pulled an officer’s hair out of a secured bun and knocked their glasses off“.
Yet better, investigators might be really able to turn the screws on the youths; because the attack was so obviously race-motivated, they might be able to prosecute the attack as a civil rights violation and really punish the “youths” for their horrific actions.
