RINO Lisa Murkowski probably doesn’t have all that much time left in the Senate, as former President Trump has thrown his political weight behind her challenger, Kelly Tshibaka, and officially endorsed her in a bid to rally enough support for Tshibaka to force out Murkowski, one of the RINOs who voted to impeach him.
Trump, in the statement backing Tshibaka, said “Murkowski has got to go!” and “Kelly Tshibaka is the candidate who can beat Murkowski — and she will. Kelly is a fighter who stands for Alaska values and America First,” which both reminded voters of the stakes involved in the election and highlighted why those who support America First policies need to back Tshibaka.
Well, now even Murkowski is smelling the roses and lamenting the fact that she might lose, speaking about the race in an interview with the New York Times (of course she chose the most radically left paper of note to speak to), saying:
“I may not be re-elected.
“It may be that Alaskans say, ‘Nope, we want to go with an absolute, down-the-line, always, always, 100-percent, never-question, rubber-stamp Republican.
“And if they say that that’s the way that Alaska has gone — kind of the same direction that so many other parts of the country have gone — I have to accept that.
“But I’m going to give them the option… Maybe I am just completely politically naïve, and this ship has sailed. But I won’t know unless we — unless I — stay out there and give Alaskans the opportunity to weigh in.”
Ah, so, according to Murkowski the RINO, if she loses, then it’s not because she is a bad candidate, a turncoat to the GOP, or a RINO that has abandoned conservative values in a pitiful attempt to win media accolades by looking “principled,” but rather because her state has decided it wants a craven sycophant in office.
Of course, that’s ridiculous. Most MAGA candidates aren’t sycophants, but rather just want what’s best for their state and country, which means voting how a real conservative would on every issue; no one wants a fake Republican anymore other than the Karl Rove-type grifter class.
Fortunately, however, Alaskans might not have to put up with the RINO loser for much longer, as she’s doing horribly in the polls. Breitbart reported as much, saying:
Conducted from March 14 to March 16, the survey of 500 likely voters in Alaska’s November general election found Tshibaka in the first round with a huge lead of more than double digits over Murkowski. On that first choice on the ballot, Tshibaka comes in with 45.4 percent and Murkowski at just 28.7 percent—with a generic Democrat close behind Murkowski and a libertarian candidate in fourth place. The poll’s margin of error is 4.21 percent.
Trump endorsements matter. They’re a great way of rallying the MAGA base against the RINOs, and it looks like Tshibaka will be yet another example of that trend and of how the GOP is still Trump’s party.
