Elon has not fully taken over Twitter yet and it’s a day that ends in “y”, so the Twitter censorship has continued, though hopefully this is the death rattle of that tyrannical, anti-free speech regime.
Though many conservatives were under the impression that the censorship had ended when they saw their engagement and follower counts jump shortly after the deal was announced, something that many took to be an indication that the suppression algorithm had been lifted, a number of conservative and right-wing accounts have since been kicked off the platform.
One is Sam Hyde, the very non-PC commentator and comedian who was kicked off Twitter shortly after rejoining and quickly amassing over 100,000 followers.
Another, even higher-profile figure from the right who has returned to Twitter only to be banned is MyPillow CEO and unrepentant Trump supporter Mike Lindell, who rejoined Twitter only to be banned again within hours, as Jack Posobiec announced on Twitter, saying:
MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell rejoins Twitter one year after he was banned and days after Elon Musk bought the social media giant – but his account is suspended within four hours

The Daily Mail article shared by Posobiec, reporting on Lindell’s return and all that went down in the short few hours he was back on Twitter, notes that a few days after news of Elon’s purchase broke:
Lindell created a new account on Sunday afternoon, writing: ‘Hello everybody, I’M BACK ON TWITTER.
‘My only account is @MikeJLindell!’ he wrote in the tweet at 1:25pm. ‘Please RT and FOLLOW to SPREAD THE WORD.’
Lindell also included a video with the post, a video of him sitting in a private jet in which he said, according to Newsweek:
“Hello everyone on Twitter this is Mike Lindell. I’m here to tell you about my new account.
“So we started this account. Please share it with everyone you know. Let everybody you know—so we can get the word out over here at Twitter in case they do take it down. And thanks a lot for helping out.”
He then quickly amassed quite the substantial following, with tens of thousands of conservatives on Twitter flocking to his account and thinking that the censorship regime that had become oh so oppressive under Dorsey and Agrawal was finally over.
But, unfortunately for Lindell and all those who want to hear from him, it’s not over, at least not yet, as Elon hasn’t fully taken over Twitter yet.
So, just a few short hours after Lindell’s return, Twitter banned that account too, with a Twitter spokesperson telling Newsweek that the account had been permanently suspended for violating the platform’s rules on ban evasion, as Lindell had been banned before.
Lindell was first banned in January of 2021 for ‘repeated violations’ of Twitter’s “civic integrity policy”. Many hope that Elon will reverse both censorious policies such as that one and bans such as Lindell’s when he finally completes his takeover of the social media giant.
